I find myself in a tight embrace. My head held tight against the crook of his shoulder. I'm unable to turn my head to glance at the face of my saviour. We stop mid air and ascend to the window of the room, I escaped from, minutes ago. As we make our way through the window, I see a glance of a bird, I must be mistaken because the next moment I see nothing, no one, not even the one who rescued me.
I'm disoriented, as I stumble to the window. I don't know what just happened. A flying man has saved my life. Impossible! My brain struggles to come to terms with my sudden rescue. My sudden captivity.
The window is still open, but as soon as my hand reach for the open sky, it's met by the same invisible wall. I'm doomed , my last way of escape blocked off. I failed. A sick feeling swirls in the pit of my stomach. I crumble to the floor in defeat and utter despair. Without realising, warm tears are making its way down my cheeks.
I quickly stand up as I hear footsteps nearing the room, wiping the tears from my face with the back of my hand.
As I edge closer to the far side of the room, away from the door, six muscled tall men, all dressed in black and armed to the teeth, enters. I would have been fearful of them, if not for my chance meeting with the wolf. I'm sure that, that animal cannot be called a wolf, but I have no other words but as to describe it as an ugly menacing huge big bad wolf.
The six men, stands in a row and form an isle. They don't talk to me. They don't look at me. It's as if I'm not in the room, as if I have become invisible.
Not long after, I hear another set of steps. The footfall on the thick carpet is soft. In my line of vision, a female appears. She is clothed in the same black clothes as the men but her outfit is finished off with a bright red robe and the ugly beast that haunts me, is engraved as an emblem on her red cloak. Her long thick hair is plaited in a long braid, casually falling off her shoulder. She is beautiful not too tall, slim and sexy, as she saunters towards me.
I am so enthralled by her appearance that I fail to notice my pelisse draped over her arm. I only notice it when she extends her hand and raise an eyebrow when I just stare at her without taking my pelisse from her. All of a sudden I feel self conscious in her presence, I must be a total mess. My eyes, having a mind of their own, slowly drifts to the mirror on my left.
I'm met by a girl with red eyes whose hair looks like a birds nest! Just as I want to lift my hands, to soothe the stray hairs into submission, I catch myself to remain still. I slowly turn my eyes back to the girl whose eyes are still locked on me, watching my every move with her cool calculating blue eyes.
I slowly stretch out my hand and take my pelisse from her without saying a word. Beneath the pelisse, in her hand lies my green thick ribbon, my ribbon I lost the day I found Phoenix.
My mind reels with shock as the true meaning of the ribbon in her hand strikes me.
I never stood a chance.
He knew my hiding spot, he knew right from the start where to find me.
My eyes loose focus as I realise the cruelty of his actions. Giving me hope, when there was non. Making me feel victorious , when In fact he knew I will be crushed.
I walked straight into his trap.
All along, he was the hunter and I, his prey.
I don't register as I'm led to the chair in front of the mirror, my hair combed and the green ribbon tied to my hair in a ponytail. A reminder that he is in charge, that he controls and I am his trophy.
My pelisse is draped around my shoulders and I'm escorted from the room and into the elevator who now welcomes me with open arms under the hawk eyes of my escorts.
As I step into the foyer, the sound of laughter and chatter greets me. We are met by more of the beasts men in black. They surround me forming a wall around me, as I'm led by red cloak deeper into the building. I want to throw up as I feel the walls moving in, trying to crush my very existence. I cannot breathe. My heart constricts, my feet refuse to move any further as I bend over and throw up.
