(Elena's POV)
I stared at my phone, my finger hovering over the send button. The message I was about to post in the hospital staff group chat would change everything.
"Before I didn't want to expose it, but now I can't bear it anymore."
With those words, I attached the image of my mating certificate with Marcus Blackwood. Six years of silence, six years of enduring whispers and rumors about being someone's mistress, were about to end.
I pressed send.
The response was immediate. My phone began buzzing incessantly with notifications. I watched as the messages flooded in, expressions of shock and disbelief filling the screen.
