How do you thank people for helping you endure over a decade of writing? Some folks due my gratitude have moved on from my social circle, moved on from writing, or flat-out moved on from life. But let’s take a stab at it. If I’ve missed your name, it means only that the electrified pudding filling my skull is feeble.
So, ahem: dear Laura Bickle, Blaze Ward, Glen T. Brock, ZZ Claybourne, Brigid Collins, Ron Collins, Rob Cornell, Leah R Cutter, T. Thorn Coyle, Colin Harvey, CJ Jones, Richard Jones, Alex Kourvo, Matthew Kroll, Mark Leslie Lefebvre, Kate MacLeod, Juliet Nordeen, Josh Peterson, Sharon Reamer, Amanda Robinson, Robert Rowntree, Kristine Kathryn Rusch, Dean Wesley Smith, Lucy A. Snyder, and Clarence Young: y’all rock. So do many other people, whose names have rusted away in my corroded memory.
I also must thank my Patronizers, the lovely folks who send me money every month for no legitimate reason. I keep reminding them that going to patronizeMWL.com and signing up is a terrible deal, but they don’t listen. Kate Ebneter, Stefan Johnson, Jeff Marraccini, Eirik Øverby, and Phil Vuchetich supported both the electronic and print versions of this book. John Hixson, Craig Maloney, Florian Obser, Maximilian Kühne, Ray Percival, sungo, and Peter Wemm supported the ebook.
My biggest thanks go to Liz, who charitably shoved flat food under my office door during more than one writing binge.
