A moment later, I pushed the door open and stepped out.
I was wrapped in a custom high-end wedding dress, the skirt dusted with tiny sparkling diamonds. My makeup was soft yet stunning, so breathtaking that the noisy chatter around me cut off abruptly, as if someone had hit a mute button.
Zora looked up and saw me, her whole body going rigid in an instant.
Her face flickered between pale and sickly green. Clutching her stomach, she broke into sobs again.
"Jude, look at her! She's obviously here to crash the wedding on purpose. Dressed like this, she's just trying to humiliate me! She just can't stand to see me and the baby happy."
Jude suppressed the flash of amazement in his eyes and strode forward, shielding Zora behind him.
"Today is Zora and my wedding day. Don't go too far."
