Alice I was glad to be running as my chocolate brown wolf with a white spot at the end of my tail and white paws because my human face would still be blushing. I was scared to think about what I wanted to do to Julian back in the kitchen. He was... Different from what he had been those last years. He was caring, hot and confusing me now. I felt like I could trust this Julian, that he was really trying to redeem himself. He was certainly keeping his word to try it all to find Charles. We had made progress working together and I could not deny that. We arrived where the rogues had crossed the border, my father and Jasper were already there fighting so we joined in on the fight. Rogues were easy to fight mostly because they were not organised. They could not work as a Pack and mind-link so it made things a lot harder on them. The strength of a wolf resided in the Pack. We should capture one. Julian said through our mind-link. Why? Jasper asked. What do you want to do with a rogue? Ask him some questions. Julian said. Oh. He wanted to ask him about Charles and Javier. Maybe those rogues had crossed path with them. It could be a lead. I grabbed for the nearest rogue by the scruff and pushed him onto the ground. I trained a million time with my dad to achieve this hold. I managed to maintain the rogue on the ground although he was fighting me like a devil. He managed to scratch me but not hard enough that I would release him. We'll help now, Beta. One of the warriors told me as they moved to grab the rogue. I let him go and the warriors grabbed him to take him back to the cells. I lifted my snout to see where the others were and the fight was over. Now the warriors would deal with the bodies. Are you all right? Julian asked as he walked to me. His tawny fur was matted in blood but I knew that it was not his. Julian was a good fighter and rogues would not get the best of him easily. It's just scratches. I said. It'll heal soon enough. Let's take care of it in our office. Then we can go interrogate the rogue. He said, hesitating to get closer to me. I guess he still thought that I would reject him. My wolf was not thinking like that. He was our mate and he was taking care of us as he should be. She did not forget that he hurt us but she was ready to forgive him if he would mark us. I was certainly not there yet. I walked to him and rubbed my head on his before walking towards the Pack house where our office was. That was a nice gesture that showed how thankful I was for his thoughtfulness. He followed me confidently and I could feel his happiness radiate through the bond. That actually made me smile, he was really cute. I want to see that interrogation as well. Jasper said as we were back at the Pack house. Sure. Julian said. We might need your help anyway. Should Lewis come with us? The Alpha asked. I did not think that it was necessary to have my father with us. It would hurt him to hear that we were still investigating Charles' case. He did not show it once how much it affected him but I knew better, he was still trying to heal that wound. Maybe if we managed to bring back Charles, it would all go away. I could only hope. It's not necessary. I said. All right, I'll go ahead. Jasper said as he turned to go to the cells. Our Pack had cells for rogues or wolves that went feral outside the Pack house. They were in a small building that looked like a normal house but inside they were many cells with silver bars and shackles to restrain the wolves. Julian and I shifted back once we were inside our office and Julian went straight for the desk. I saw how fine he was thanks to the moonlight pouring inside. I could only see his back but it was enough to make me blush. He was ripped and I could see the V shape of his body, I lowered my gaze to find his butt. It was round but I could see the muscles move at each step he took. He turned around and I was now faced with a muscled chest. My gaze went down as he opened a drawer and I saw his abs perfectly defined on his stomach. I kept going down to the V line but the desk was hiding the most interesting part. It shocked me that I would think that. Really? Did I... Want to see him? It was hard not to find him beautiful. It was never the issue between us but for the first time in a while, I wanted him. I remembered that I was naked too when he threw me some clothes. I saw that his eyes were slightly darker than usual but he tried not to look at me too much as he put on some clothes as well. I hurried up and felt a bit cooler to put the clothes on. My feelings were starting to change and it scared me. I did not want to get hurt again because I rushed into things. "Show me your arms." Julian said. He was holding the first aid kit. It was not always necessary since we could heal pretty much anything but claws and fangs took longer. I did not know where the rogue went before so it could never hurt to clean the wound. I held my arms out for him and he took out a piece of cotton and poured alcohol on it. He cleaned my wounds as gently as he could and I did not even wince. I did not want to worry him more. Males took it very badly when females were hurt, especially their mates. "All better." He said with a small smile. "Let's get to the cells." I could see a soft side of him with this smile. Our feelings were changing, there was no denying it and it pleased me.
