Ryan Father’s cryptic message sent the day before had been enough to tell me there was trouble in paradise. From what I gathered, he had sent the same message to old family members and loyal retainers, ordering everyone to the Winchester estate for an emergency meeting. Despite wishing to be anywhere else, I found myself at the familiar building, early and punctual. Relatives I hadn’t seen in years sat at the meeting table.
