But Amy and Linda, clueless about what really went down, totally misread the situation. They exchanged a sly look, mischievous grins spreading across their faces.
Linda raised an eyebrow. "So, do you mean Alpha Brian?"
"What?" I almost choked. "No! What are you two talking about?"
"Aurora, we all saw it," Amy said, her eyes curving with amusement, her lips unable to contain their smile. "Come on, we all saw the way he was looking at you yesterday. Total possessiveness, like his hormones were about to explode! I was actually going to come find you, but then the Alpha shot me this ice-cold glare. Totally scared me away."
"So you just let me get taken away?" I teased back, dabbing at the water droplets with a napkin.
