Brian's POV
Aurora disappeared around the corner, but her sweet scent still hung in the air.
I snapped out of my daze and quickly sent someone to make sure she got home safe.
"Why'd you hold me back? I almost had her. We could've explained everything about Silvia right there - she's got it all wrong!" Ken barked at me with frustration.
He couldn't understand why I cared so much about Aurora yet wouldn't clear things up with her right away.
"Ken, this is a hospital. The timing isn't right. And Silvia just regained consciousness - she needs supervision. I have to stay here," I said, massaging my temples as a headache started to build.
Ken let out a low whine in my mind.
