I hung up with Gwen and I felt better knowing that she wanted to patch things up between us as well. I just felt bad that I was in the middle of a work out when she originally called, so I couldn't answer her right away. And I paused for a second because I didn't believe my ears at first when it was her ring tone coming from my phone. I pulled up the hem of my shirt to wipe off my brow as I was drenched in sweat. When I wasn't doing office work, I was working out on the training field in order to try and wear myself out so that I could sleep at night. The nights were long and cold without my mate by my side, and the closest thing I got to comfort were my memories of us together.
