NORA POV  Derek was holding my hand as we walked down the long hallway. His grip was firm. I took a look around slowly; I looked from one end of the corridor to the other. There’s this unusual silence that felt strange. Like on a normal day, omegas would be moving around by this time, sweeping, mopping, carrying trays, or whispering as they cleaned the corners of the palace. But there’s nothing like that tonight. I frowned a little. “Why is everywhere so quiet tonight?” I asked. Derek glanced at me, his lips curving a little, and then he looked ahead again. “There’s a new rule,” he said softly. “All work has a fixed time now. No one should be running around at odd hours.
