My eyes didn’t leave Ariana, even after we all sat down at the guest section.
What brought her here still makes me feel confused.
When she walked in, I only expected one thing from her: anger.
Because of how ugly things went between me and her father at the last council meeting.
That same meeting made me send Nora away.
But what shocked me most was seeing Ariana drop evidence on the table, something strong enough to remove her father from being the head of the council, even something that could make him get banished from the kingdom.
“Ariana,” I called while she only smiled back.
