“I’m sorry, your highness,” Mira begged.
“There’s no need for you to be sorry,” I said quickly. “It’s not like I’m scolding you for that.”
I sat back and let out a deep breath.
Mira had just told me she was the one who gave Gerrick the clue that Ariana seemed to be at the palace yesterday. She’d said it briefly that morning, but I didn’t think she should have told Gerrick. It wasn’t like they found anything on Ariana. It was only an assumption.
“Do you think Derek is going to handle it well?” I asked Mira.
She just nodded.
