I guess I slept off on Derek’s chest, because the next thing I knew, I woke up to a female voice coming from outside. At first, I was still heavy with sleep, but after a moment I recognized the voice. Lyra.
I sat up immediately, rubbed my eyes, and dragged myself out of the bed. My legs still felt weak, but I leaned against the door to hear better. It was definitely Lyra’s voice, and she was arguing with Derek. From the sound of it, Derek was stopping her from coming in to see me, and Lyra wasn’t having it at all.
I smirked instantly. The two siblings were already throwing drama, and I hadn’t even stepped out yet.
I pulled the door open.
