Jake sat with his head bowed. His prayers were filled with thanksgiving. Since the town meeting, donations had been flooding in. People were bringing canned goods and dishes, pots, and pans that were large enough to cook for a large group. People were even donating items they thought the new residents might like to decorate the rooms. The computer company had come through and donated enough computers so that every resident would have one. The woman who worked for the company had offered to come in and set them up.
