Lathriona's pov:
As we entered the ball, the mix scents of cappuccino and caffeine hits my senses. My breath hitched and my heartbeats quickened.
'Mate' my wolf whispered.
He's here. Our mate pull is so strong. Sniffing the air, the smell of him relaxing me.
"Ri? You okay?" Sophia suddenly asked me.
"Yes, I'm fine, more than fine." I replied sending her a reassuring smile.
"Okay. Let's enjoy the night!" pulling me to our designated table.
I need my mate.
As I seated on my chair, I began to look around.
"Hey Riona, we have to wear this, Sorry, I forgot to mention it to you earlier." she said while handing me a golden mask that surrounded a diamond studs just like the one in my dress.
Putting it in place. I saw two she-wolves approaching our table. I smiled at them.
"Hi ladies, do you mind if we sit here?" the beautiful brunette spoke.
"No, not really. Come on join us!." I said giving them a warm smile.
"By the way, my name is Alexis and she's my bestfriend Joanna." Alexis said while turning her head to her bestfriend.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Margaux Lathriona, oh but you can call me anything you want if it's too long to say, and this...?" Looking at my bestfriend,
"Is Sophia my bestfriend." Sophia muttered hi to them. We began to eat our food that served by the caterers.
I enjoyed talking to them and we're considering them as friend. Glancing at my phone it's past eleven.
"Umm, girls? Can I excuse myself for a minute? I'm just going to the restroom." I said looking at them.
"Yeah sure, you want me to accompany you?" Sophia asked me. But I refused. The emcee started to say his speech.
"... Let's welcome Alpha George! Let's give him around of applause." my heart beats faster, my hands is becoming clammy.

I froze, Sophia never mention that my father is going to be here. I was thankful that I had a masked, he probably won't see me. I sighed and headed to the restroom.
But I don't know where is that f*****g restroom! Walking through the dark hallway, the scent of my mate hits my nose. As I turned my head to left there was a sign that saying 'Restroom'.
But before I could step forward, "Are you missing pup?" A deep voice startled me. I whipped my head towards him.
Leech.
He's a f*****g vampire. He is wearing a suit and mask. But how? How can he managed to crashed in here? He's not belong to us. We're enemies. How did he get in here without anyone being notice? Does he masked his scent? But what if he did? Why can I still smell him though?
"Penny for your thoughts?" he said mocking at me.
"How? How did you get in here? You're a vampire, but I prefer to say leech." I said glaring at him.
His eyes darken. "Feisty are we?You're quite beautiful huh, I see, you're unmated wolf. Hmm, maybe I can have you for myself." he said walking towards me. Stepping backwards I said, "What the f**k are you doing?!"
I ran into the restroom and locked the door. Since I turned eighteen, which is today. I can't shift and I don't f*****g know how to fight. Yes, I've been doing kick boxing, but It can't help. He can just snap my neck then I'm dead.
I stared at the door that anytime he's going to barged in. But he's not. The silence was killing me. Then suddenly I heard a loud growl behind that door. My legs are shaking, my heartbeat thumping against my chest. I need to be strong. For Sophia, for my wolf and for my mate.
Approaching the door, I decided to open it. There was a blood everywhere, the ball is over, many wolves are dead. Then I realized that we're being under attacked.
Rouges...
I ran towards to the event room, everyone is gone. 'What happened?' my wolf asked me, but I didn't say anything to her. As I started to walk, someone just hit my head from behind, but before I close my eyes.
I saw him.
My mate.
"Where are you going darling? I promise, it's going to be fun, you'll love it." the vampire said to me, but I stay focused to my mate.
Wearing nothing but pants. Seems that he's been fighting the rouges earlier. His grey eyes burning through my soul and filled with angered.
"Mate" I mouthed. His eyes threatening to watered. But before he could reply the darkness consumed me.
