Scarlet POV He mutters something under his breath that I’m pretty sure isn’t safe for public consumption. Out of the corner of my eye, I catch Liam slipping up beside him, brushing his hand lightly against Zain’s back in a quiet, grounding gesture. He's trying to calm him down. Zain doesn’t move, but I can see the effort it takes him to stay standing still, to not explode. Before the tension can choke the air completely, Mason clears his throat gently. “We get it,” he says, voice calm, respectful. “It’s wrong. Her friend should’ve stayed.
