Chapter 3: New life.

She stood up “ you can think about it, when you’ve made up your mind. You can let me know”

“No need, I will meet you at the civil Affairs bureau by 10 am” Louis replied.

After she left, Louis remained sifted. Lost in thoughts. He remembered the night he took refuge in the hotel, that was where he met her. She was drunk and clung to him like an octopus, mistaking him for someone she called Stephon.

In the dark room, her soft body held him tightly, and combined with the fact that he was already on edge. He lost control and count of how many times they did it.

When he woke up, he intended to leave a check. But found out that he was having only five thousand won. And so he wrote his secretary number down on it. If she Contacts him, he would compensate her and consider it settled.

But he didn't expect a child to come out of it!. Regardless, of whether the child came at the right or wrong time. He won't abandon them.

At that moment, Victor disguised as a waiter, approached with a cup of Coffee and placed it in front of Louis. “ Mr. Xian. Your coffee.”

Staring at Louis' calm expression, Victor became anxious. “ Mr. Xian, are you really going to marry her?”

“ Yes”

“ What about Miss Nicole?”

“This doesn't concern her!”

“ But.. Miss Nicole, has been chosen by your family to be your wife”

Louis remained silent.

“ Then what about your illness?” Victor asked, feeling concern for Louis.

“ What's there to think about!” With that, Louis got up and left.

Later, Lise returned back to Will's Manson. Ready to pack and leave for good. This was the family her mother, Rennes, formed with Nelson Will. Bring her, the unwanted child with them. Later on, Rennes had Nelly, making Lise more of a burden.

As she climbed the stairs, Lise overheard Nelly and Rennes, talking in Nelly's room.

“Mom, Stephon's mother invited me to her birthday party today. Do you think she has accepted me?”

“ Of course my dear, it means she has accepted you and your position as Stephon's girlfriend”

“ I think so too. That annoying brat Lise is no longer a threat to me. You have no idea how much Aunt Ford loathes her now that she is carrying another man's child.”

Nelly's voice was filled with joy as she spoke. “ Before, aunt Ford always sided with her and thought she was innocent. But now, she's embarrassed to even mention Lise's name. And once she gives birth to this child, it would be impossible for to get back with Stephon”

“ It's her fault for not having self - respect, and causing a scandal. It was really shameless.”

“Let's not spoil our mood any further by discussing her.” Rennes was getting uncomfortable.

Lise stood on the stairs, listening to their words, she felt bad inside. She thought she had already gotten used to it, but hearing such words made her feel sad. Her eyes turned red, but she didn't shed any tears. They don't deserve her tears. She would leave this house, and have nothing to do with this family again.

She moved to her room and closed the door. The sound caught Nelly and Rennes attention, as they came to her room.

Rennes frowned when she saw Lise packing her things. “ What are you doing?”

Leaving Rennes' question hanging. She didn't have much to pack. Just a few clothes and some personal belongings. She packed her suitcase, drugged it down to walk past Rennes. Who snatched it from Lise's hand and threw it aside. “ You can't leave!”

“And why not?”

Lise knew that the only reason Rennes kept her was because of their grandmother. Rennes was afraid that their grandmother would blame her for abandoning her child. So she had no choice then to stay. But now that her grandmother is gone, why was Rennes still keeping her?

“ At this time, Nelson's company is going public and the Media is covering it. If you are to go out and any scandals are exposed. It will affect the company's stock Market. How then is the company going to go public?”

Lise couldn't believe her ears. So it turned out that her mother didn't her leave in the middle of the night because she was worried about her safety. But, because she was afraid of ruining her stepfather’s company Launch.

“If you want to leave, you are free to. But find someone to marry you quickly. If you delay, your belly will only get bigger and bigger by the day. At this rate, things will be exposed, and I can't afford that.” Rennes looked down at Lise's belly with contempt.

“I have asked your uncle to look for a suitable man. You two can meet up tomorrow, if you can marry him then do so and leave.”

Nelly leaned against the door frame, watching the scene with amazement. “ Lise, I have seen a photo. He's quite the man, although he isn't perfect. But he doesn't mind marrying you at all.”

“No need! I will not marry him. But the father of my baby.” Nelly burst into laughter.

“ The father of your child, are you sure?”

Lise narrowed her eyes. “ Sister Lise, I didn't know you have such a unique taste in men, that you even like such a hazardous man. Your taste is thoroughly refined.”

“How do you know about the father of my child?” Lise's voice was low, and her gaze intimidating.

Nelly's smile flattered, as she realised she over spoke. “ Am just speaking generally, we don't know who he was. He could be a worker”

“ You must have arranged all this” Lise walked towards Nelly.

That night of the sign out party. She was given some drinks, and her phone beeped, it was a message from Stephon inviting her upstairs. But later, when she asked him about the message,he denied sending her such.

Lise suspected that it was Nelly's plan. But she had no evidence to prove it.

“ That's outrageous!” Nelly was clearly uncomfortable.

Lise wanted to continue questioning Nelly, when Rennes spoke up. “ Enough, this is already shameful as it is. There no need to further discuss the topic”

“ But mom, it was Nelly's plan. She clearly set me up to have Stephon..”

Lise's statement was interrupted with a slap. “ I told you not to discuss the issue further, it was clearly your fault that this ugly incident happened. And yet you blame your sister for it! As for Stephon he chose your sister himself, they were happy together. But you had to interfere, taking advantage of his mother

's favouritism. But your sister held none of it against you. But yet you kept pushing it!”
