The whispers followed me like a persistent shadow as I made my way through the grand halls of the Alpha Gathering. Eyes darted in my direction, conversations hushed as I passed. The events of last night had spread like wildfire, and I was now the center of attention - for all the wrong reasons.
I caught snippets of hushed conversations as I walked:
"There she is - the Luna Priestess who can't decide between two Alphas."
"I heard she nearly brought down the entire garden with her powers."
"How can we trust someone so unstable to lead a pack?"
