12 Hayley I closed the bedroom door behind me and stopped. That had been a goddess. I had just spoken to a goddess, and she held my hand as if she really cared about me. That was… insane. I dropped the bag on the bed and took a glance around the bedroom. It was small but quaint, with a big, wooden bed with a tall headboard against one wall, one nightstand beside the bed with a small lantern on it and some sort of lighter on the side, a tall dresser and an armchair on the other side. Like the blanket over the bed, the curtains covering the window were covered in a thin layer of dust. I picked up the bag again. I would have to clean this room before sleeping in here. Shit, what was I thinking? As if I would stay here. As if I would fight alongside Ash. No, I wanted to go back home. B
