Amelia "I am fucked." The words glared at me from my phone screen, harsh and panicked. My heart skipped, I called Adele immediately, but she didn't pick up. I tried again and still she wasn't picking up. A cold feeling settled in my chest, I leaned forward and told the driver, "I will meet you at home." Before he could ask anything, I was already opening the car door and hailing another ride straight to Adele's apartment.
