Episode Three

Ella woke up to the sound of her ringing tone which brought along a banging headache as she was forcefully woken up, “arch who the f**k calls this early ”

she said irritated,

she rubbed her eyes to see the name of the annoying caller but her eyes still weren't clear so she had to use her fingerprint to pick it up.

“Hello who is this," she asked sleepily

" Ma'am... Uhm, hello ma, Good morning miss Ella, this is almost 10, but we can't find any trace of you in the building,

Some investors came by Earlier, for early investing in our yet to lunch new projects,” ‘ But they had to leave when they didn't see you after waiting for an hour plus' she said carefully

“ Wait is this why you called me this Early? , wait what did you say the time was again?” she sprang off her bed as she looks towards the clock hung on the wall only to see it 9:56, she didn't believe it so she check the digital clock on her side desk which confirmed it.

Without saying anything back to early she rushed towards her wardrobe , grabbing the body towel she saw first and straight into the bathroom.

Today is the day I resume officially, as the COO( CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER), second to only the CEO, like Spiderman's uncle once said in the original movie

Ella's pov

Rushed to the office after taking my bath, had to cook up an excuse for why I came late to work, today of all days. “Miss Ella, ma'am, over here ma” Ashley shouted as soon as she saw me walk into the main building, she had been waiting by the elevator from what I could see. With rapid foot steps she rush walked towards me ,“Why Are you standing out here is anything the problem?” i asked

“ Nothing miss Ella I have been waiting here so I can take you to your new office, your former office has an occupant already" she replied with a wide grin.

“Lead the way then or what are you waiting for” “Yes ma, please follow me " she said hurriedly. While we were inside the elevator I asked

“Anything apart from the investors?”

“ Hmmm just paper works with loads of reading through and lots of signing” She said after doing her imaginary thinking of a thing.

Just a slight improvement in comparison to the former, double Ac, new system, new laptop, wireless mouse, title glass Beautiful decorations I must say.

Okay, yea it looks nice, turned to Ashley after observing the whole room “ Any update regarding the chefs I asked you to look for? "

“Sorry, ma I forgot, searched for the very best, but we were beaten to it ma, and the ones that weren't occupied said they rather work with a dog than work with you " she took two steps back as she finished her report.

“Wait what? , Ha hahaha they'd rather work with a dog than work with me, Ashley come closer " I said with a beautiful smile

“ I'm okay here ma, I can hear you properly," she said with a forced smile.

Took a deep breath in “ So how many are willing to work with me? "

“ Like three are ma, would get the remaining two by tomorrow ma "

“ Hmmmm three are ready, okay inform them to get their documents ready after you interview them of course, we are leaving the country for the search of the new recipe," I said.

“Yes," she said folding her fist. “ I will get going ma to get all necessary documents needed," She said rushing out of the office.

Oh, there's a coffee maker here, hmmm okay hmmm where should I choose to travel to, home of food, home of recipe Nah to common am sure that's where they are going, buh where can I go to and not lose out ...... India, Italy, Spain, or France, Gosh what will I do now ?.

“Ashley Ashley " I called out since her office was just outside mine.

“Yes miss Ella ”

“ We leave in two to three days, get the rest interview them tomorrow, do proper documentation, get their tickets we must waste no time in getting started” I ordered.

While I was still thinking about the perfect location, an email notification popped up from the right lower corner of My PC screen. "What is this about? " I asked no one in particular.

Double clicked on the email, to see a notification of credit alert with the description “ Funds for creation of new recipe" so fast hmmm.

This is pretty much better than being the managing director 1, free schedules should have accepted the offer since.

“ Miss Ella, may I enter? " Bob asked ( My father's mouthpiece and also my uncle, my Father's only brother) from my opened door entrance, without waiting for me to say anything he entered, examining practically all the appliances in my office like an inspector.

“ Are you done inspecting my office? " I asked casually.

“ sorry forgot my manners, this room looks so enchanting just like the owner I must say, the perfect blending of colors beautiful sofas, wish they were all mine, can we swap,” He asked with a wide grin

I just kept staring at him, waiting for him to go straight to the point of his visitation. “ I still get this cold shoulder because of what happened last year,” He said with a deep sigh

" buh you seem to have forgotten we were close and I still wish it never happened "

“ yea but it happened, if only you had talked them out of it, if only you stood your ground none these would have happened, if only you stopped being a spineless Coward only for that moment next month would be a great month for me," I said losing my composure.

“Ella there's more to what you can see, a lot more to the things you regard to as simple" he sighed “ yea I could have done something that night, yea I should have been the favorite father figure you picture me to be, yea I regret everything, didn't expect that night incidence. I can only hope that you'd forgive me” he said looking at me straight in the eyes before walking away.
