ELLA'S POV

After the presentation with various potential investor's that I believe went well,

Took an elevator up to the 67th floor which is the VIP kitchen to get something to eat and at the same time waiting for Ashley to come and inform me of my next schedule.

Fortunately it was wasn't jam-packed like I feared, barely around 50 people on the whole canteen floor which was to the right.

I Saw a free table which was near the lites ( Windows of a skyscraper) , dropped my hand and bag and took a sit.

I beckoned on a waiter who was about four tables away. “ Good afternoon ma" He said after confirming the time “ How may I be of service?" . “Yh yh can I see your menu? , really famished”

With little or no words he triple tapped the middle section of the table which brought forth a projection like image, but wasn't a projection caused he tapped at it, “ What are your orders ma'm ?" , Hmmm this is new , took a good look at the menu for today “ creamed coffee and Apfelstrudel please” He then clicked on my respective orders

“ your orders would be delivered in the next 5 mins, kindly make payments thank you ma'm ' He said with a smile before going.

Finished eating the Apfelstrudel and the cup of coffee, ordered for another cup of creamed coffee savouring the creamery taste which kept my mouth busy while I wait for Ashley. Couldn't help but look out of the Window since I was near it, what I see below is a busy street, everyone moving , cars and their owners obeying the traffic lights, but raising my head up a bit I can see practically all neighboring buildings, Streets, lanes, everything forming a neat line up.

All thanks to evolution and technology, while still lost in my realm of thoughts , A loud repeated knocks on the table brought me back to reality, shining back at me a full set of teeth at and the owner who smiled back at me was a fellow colleague at work. “ Hey girl, what gat you thinking been standing here for the past 5 minutes calling your name and waving at you but twas like you didn't exist in this same time line as

me/ us ” He wined complaining.

“ Hey kelvin sorry my bad , how did your presentation go? ” I asked avoiding any further complications.

“ well” he calmed down and took a sit ” You know i always hit the on the head every single time

“ Share me your winning tips master, or would you accept me as a student master? ” I performed a imaginary bow .

“ Nope, thanks, no one will ever learn these winning tips of mine be it my wife, my children or even my favorite person because I won't tell anyone, maybe when its time for me to leave this world i just might reconsider”. “ And besides i love this new you,like I do say unlike the former you I don't think i would dare sit down and talk with you, I love my job you know”

“ Ha ha hahaha, was it really that bad ” I asked because he wasn't the first to say that.

“ Oh girl it was really high up there, what changed you , because i noticed changes 4 months after you came back from that trip years ago, I think going to about 2 years ago ” He asked starring at me with interest.

“ LOL don't look at me like that, I didn't change believe me , someone's attitude rubbed off me that's all” I told him before looking outside the window in to space.

“ Oh yea that's reminds me, lately there's been a very interesting rumour which is still spreading like wide fire, is it through you are getting married? and it's next month?” Kelvin asked

“ Anyways congrats, welcome to the side of the serious ones ” Kelvin cheered “ But why didn't you tell me yourself ? heard about it from the mouth of the great gossiper Julie, whom I greatly adore" he said forming air quotes with his fingers.“ But are friends supposed to sly each other like this ? .”

“ Must you be so dramatic? , it's not like you don't know what they are up too, I'm just a chess piece on their Chess board as they fight their all time rival”. I said sighing.

“Oh girl what do you plan on doing? because it's obvious you don't like this guy, i mean your fixed husband to be , I wish there was a way I could be or help, the only way I think I can be of help is if you want to elope just let me know its clean and untraceable all it takes is a phone call then everything is done” He said showing concern.

“ Thanks a lot when I get to that bridge i will cross it and besides i don't have time for that I'm busy .....” “ vmmm vmmm vmmm ” my phone vibrated interrupting what I was saying. Open the phone to see the caller.

“ Awww speak of the devil and he shall appear, ” kelvin whose eyes were glued to my phone screen said as he made his own altered version of puppy eyes.

“ Kelvin seriously stop it , this ain't funny” folded the screen and returned it back into my bag. i rolled my eyes at him.

“. Aren't you gonna pick that ?, it just might be important you can never tell unless you pick up , come on ” says kelvin urging me to pick up.

This urging of his got on my nerves ” kelvin is there something I'm supposed to know that you know off? how much were you offered to do all this? ” I asked taking a close look at his facial expression.

His mouth twitched, then continuously them he abruptly stood up “ What are you trying to say miss Ella? , you know I put my ego first in everything I do ,how much could he possibly offer me that will make me stoop low to the point of deceiving you.” Kelvin said each word one by one.

“ Why take this personal if you are clean , come on don't be a kid , it's just one harmless question. I asked calming him down.

“ Whatever I have better things to do than sitting here with your lazy ass ".
