I had to miss school again today because my assigned attorneys and I were going to pay a visit to the state penitentiary to see my mom.
They were going to take her statement again, just to get her version of events again. I had already given her a heads up that we were coming. She was reluctant to open Pandora's Box all over again but I had to tell her that she had a chance to get out of this dump so she should grab it with both hands and feet.
I was tired of being alone and it was becoming a burden to visit her in prison-I hated it. I hated seeing her wasting away behind these walls for a crime she didn’t commit.
