EPISODE 2:"UNEXPECTED MEETINGS"

300 Words
The snow had been falling all morning, turning the town into a sparkling winter postcard. Emmy wrapped her scarf tighter, trying to focus on the holiday errands her family had piled onto her. But no matter how fast she walked, leo kept appearing in her path. First, it was at the bakery. She reached for a tray of cinnamon pastries, and there he was, holding the last one. “You… you like cinnamon, right?” he asked, grin teasing. Emmy blinked. “I—uh—yes. But you don’t have to….” Before she could finish, Leo had already handed her the pastry. “For you,” he said simply, and her heart betrayed a tiny, stubborn skip. Later at the town square, she tried to avoid him again. But the same snow-dusted bench, the same twinkling lights, and-of-course-Leo, now helping a group of children hang ornaments for the annual town tree. Their eyes met, and for a moment , the world felt paused. "I keep running into you," Emmy said, half laughing, half frustrated. Leo smiled softly. " Maybe it's fate or maybe the snow just likes us." Emmy wanted to roll her eyes ,but a part of her... wanted to believe it. Afterall, how many coincidences could there be before the universe was sending a sign? By evening, her parents invited her to a cozy dinner at the town inn. She hesitated when she saw Leo walking towards the same event.Their eyes met again, and this time neither could look away. That night, as snow flakes danced outside the frosted windows, Emmy realized something she hadn't admitted: maybe coming home wasn't just about family or the holidays. Maybe it was about him, too. And with that thought, she felt a spark of hope-tiny fragile, but very real.
