EPISODE 4: "FIRST INTENTIONS"

257 Words
The next day, Emmy found herself lingering near the town square, pretending to browse the little holiday stalls while secretly hoping to bump into Leo. Luck-or maybe fate-was on her side. There he was, handing a paper bag of treats to a little girl. Who ran off laughing. When he saw her, his grin widened. "Hey,he said warmly, brushing snow from his coat. "Hi," Emmy replied, smiling despite herself. They walked together toward the cafe at the corner. The bell above the door jingled as they stepped inside, warm and fragnant with cinnamon and coffee. "I thought maybe we could grab something to drink, Leo said, shrugging like it was casual, but Emmy could see the effort in his tone. "Sure she said, her heart fluttering in a way that suprised her. They sat near the window, watching the snowflakes drift lazily past. Conversation started small-favorite winter treats, silly childhood memories, the quirks of their little town. But gradually it grew deeper. "I'm glad you are back in town," Leo admitted softly. "It feels different with you here." Emmy looked at him, catching the sincerity in his eyes. "Me too," she said."I think... sometimes ,second chances ain't about starting over. They're about noticing what was always there." For the first time in a long while, Emmy felt something warm bloom inside her-not just holiday cheer, but possibility, connection, and hope. As they stepped back into the snow, side by side, Emmy realized that some meetings were meant to be intentional, not accidental-and some sparks were worth following.
