Chapter 2

"That was an isolated incident." He punched the locker next to my head while snarling. Not even a flinch from me. He despised that I was not scared of him. "Even so, I am not a supporting role." I sneered. "I advise you move now, unless you want Jason to come in here and beat your ass again." When I caught his stare, he became enraged. Me, I was self-assured and resolute. Jason was overly protective, but it was not like I needed him to fight my battles. "You will realise that you belong with me." "Yes, we definitely will." He stepped back to give me room, and I rolled my eyes. He had to say something last as I turned to leave. "You WILL be my Luna, I promise." With a sigh, I continued going until I came to the doors. I opened the door as the warm sun struck my skin, taking a deep breath and closed my eyes at the memories I was about to leave behind from this place. I then descended the steps to a new life filled with new memories. Catherine was driving her brother's 2022 Audi R8 behind us, and I was sat in the passenger seat of my brother's 2022 Audi TT RS, staring out the window at the passing scenery. I continued thinking about how things like that seemed to happen to me all the time, and what had happened with Brittany in the hallway. Only Jason and my parents were aware of my abilities, so I never understood what it meant. Once, after I had an episode, I heard my parents discussing in dad's study. That day at school, I got into an argument with Brittany over food. That should come as no surprise. I was obsessed with what had transpired since I was about eight years old. Flashback Like we always did, Catherine and I were having playtime on the playground, swinging. I felt a tug on my leg and went off the swing while I was watching my brother, Erik, and Nico play hoops. After a minute of disorientation, I managed to stand up and see Brittany laughing with her friends. Although I detested having to attend the same school as them, it was the reality. Catherine arrived to pull me up and stopped swinging. "Winnie, are you okay?" she inquired kindly as she assisted me in getting to my feet. Tears filled my eyes as I gazed down at the lovely garment my aunt had given me for my seventh birthday. Because it was from her, I treasured the fact that I adored this garment. It was a knee-length pale blue sundress with matching shorts to wear underneath. "Look, the tiny infant is wailing." I tried not to cry as I heard Brittany making fun of me. When I was a young, innocent girl, my brother and his buddies were there to defend me at all times. We had our wolf hearing, but this time we were in a place they could not see or hear us. "Stop talking, you ugly b***h!" Over their laughter, I heard Catherine yell. When Brittany observed that I had glanced up and over their shoulders to where Jason was, she concentrated on me. She sneered, "You think Nicky is going to come help you?" As if he would desire any pitiful and feeble justification of a she-wolf such as yourself. I remained fixed in place. I was aware of my hatred for her, but how could she be so mean? I did not do her any harm. Aside from the fact that she was Alpha Peter's daughter, I did not really know her. She and her brother Brody would always attend meetings at our packhouse because it was larger. I never understood why she always acted as though she was superior to everyone. "You do not even know him." I succeeded in leaving, and I had to summon all my strength to refrain from running or yelling at Jason. To get her to leave me alone, I had to take care of this on my own. "I know hirrenough. Grinning, she peered over her shoulder at me. "Hi!" I shaved and turned to see Erik, Jason, and Nico running over. "Now is the time to leave." With a cunning smile, Brittany and her pals walked away, leaving me standing there on the edge of tears. "Winnie." When I looked up, Jason was approaching me. He dropped to my knees and placed his hand on my shoulder, asking, "What happened, kiddo?" "What is wrong with your dress?" He evaluated me. I heard Catherine tell them what had happened, just a little bit. "All I want is to get home." I murmured, beginning to tremble. Jason said something to Nico, then grabbed my hand and we began the short trip back to the packhouse. Things started to happen at dinner as I started to relive the events in my mind. At first, I was unaware of it, but more things happened as my mind became unhinged. The lights would flicker, the chairs surrounding the table would tremble, and the napkins would move as if there was a windstorm while I assisted my mother in setting the table. My mind was replaying the events while we were halfway through dinner when there was a loud crash. I blinked and noticed that everyone was focusing on the shattered dishes lying on the ground. When I met my mother's eyes, she appeared surprised. Everything was a fog after that, and I woke up in my room. "It is not possible." Through my broken door, I heard.
