MILICENT “Well, well,” The wiry one drawled, tilting his head as his gaze slid down my body where I sat chained. “She’s even prettier awake.” The greasy-haired one leaned closer, his nose wrinkling as though he was savoring my scent. “Fresh.... and untouched. That skin… she’ll fetch more than we thought.” My stomach turned as they circled me, their eyes not just looking but weighing, like I wasn’t a person at all, just something to be bought and sold. God what I wouldn't give to just have one chance just one chance to punch then. “Look at those blue eyes,” the stubble-faced man muttered, crouching so close I could feel the sour warmth of his breath. “I can see why Zed wanted her alive. Golden wolf, right? That’s what they said she was.” Zed? Who's Zed? “Yeah, the boss was right.”
