MILLICENT I had no idea when I passed out. One second I was crying into Xander’s chest like a heartbroken i***t, fists pounding on him like it’d fix all the wrongs in my life, and the next I was blinking at the roof of an unfamiliar rent. I felt warm and somehow, I was wrapped in a sleeping bag I didn’t remember crawling into, the world outside was still covered in early fog, birds chirping somewhere in the trees.
