The Alpha's Daughter

Chapter 10

*3rd person pov*

Jennifer went back to the store she left Jewel at to show her the dress she found for herself. When she got there it was early quiet. Like something happened. The woman that worked at the front isn't there anymore. She looked in the back where she last saw Jewel and saw her clothes she had on before but she was nowhere in sight. She started to freak now but she knew what to do. She mindlinked the Alpha. "Alpha we have a problem." "What is it Jennifer?" He said in a worried tone. "Me and Jewel went to the mall to find dresses. Well she found her and while she was trying it on I saw my dress in the store across the hall. I went to go mine and came back now she's missing and I can't find the woman who was at the register. The scent I'm catching isn't any of our pack nor the worker either so I don't know what happened. I need you and the warriors here bow so the trail doesn't go cold. I'll close the store for us so no one else comes in." She finished telling him everything in one huge breath.

"We are all on our way. Also Jennifer we will find her. I don't blame you for any of this. Just close down the store like you said and keep calm. Jewel will need us all level headed to find her." He was so calm it scared Jennifer a little. She knew the Alpha more than anyone. He was always calm before he went bat crazy. After this he will go that route if we don't find his daughter. "Yes Alpha, I will get straight on it." She said. "Um Jennifer what store was this in that you never said?" She felt like face palming herself now. "It's bedazzled near the food court." She replied. She went to shut the mindlink when she heard the Alpha laughing.

Hope he is still in that mood when he gets here. She hurried up front to lock the doors and turned the sign telling everyone that the store was closed. She went to look to see if the worker was anywhere. When she got to the office the door was open a little and the lights were off. She slowly went in, cut the lights on and saw the dead body of the poor worker. The woman was nice to her and Jewel when they came in. Whoever did this was cruel.

Not long after, she heard the banging on the front doors. It was the Alpha and warriors and of course Damien. She could see the panic in Damien's face. She unlocked the door and let them all in and locked it back. "Alpha, I found the worker, whoever did this is very cruel. She's in the back office dead." The Alpha looked shocked at first and told the warriors to go take care of the body. Damien was going through the whole store trying to catch whose scent it was, if it was a rogue or human. "Damien she was last in the first stall in the dressing room, that's where I can smell the scent most." He nodded and went straight to the stall.

He came back out and Jennifer looked him in the eyes when he spoke to her and the Alpha. "I know who took her. You do too Jennifer." "I do?" She asked, puzzled at who it could have been. Then he said a name she didn't expect. "It was that boy from school named James something. I wouldn't have known if he didn't sit with us at lunch today. I also know cause I've smelt his scent before but not just at school." "Son where else have you smelt him?" Alpha now sounds worried. "When me and Jewel went up the cliff after she first shifted she showed me her favorite spot. Afterwards we both sense someone watching us and getting close to the entrance. When we looked they were gone but Jewel told me it's not been the first time. I didn't put them together till now. He has been following her for a while now." Damien finally stated.

Jennifer falls to her knees now. "This is all my fault. I knew James liked her he would always ask about her and things only someone with hopes of being with someone would ask. I just thought when he saw her with you today at lunch he would move on but I guess he didn't get the hint and did all this. Not only that he comes to mostly all my parties but only stayed if she was there. If she wasn't he would leave." She was now in tears, her head in her hands crying for her friend and hoping she was alright. "This is none of our faults Jennifer. The boy is to blame. He should have moved on but you both should have come to me about him sooner than this and we would have done something before it got to this." The Alpha said to both her and Damien.

With that being said he took Jennifer in his arms like a father would any of his children and tried to calm her down. She was like another daughter to him. She has always been a good wolf in and out the pack. She also cared so much for his own daughter they were like sisters. He wouldn't let her blame herself for any of this.

As soon as Jennifer calmed down, thanks to the Alpha, one of his warriors came up with a piece of paper in his hands. He hands it to the Alpha and he reads what it says. "To whom this may concern. I have Jewel and she is now mine. No one will find us or try to take her from me. I will die along with her if they do. So don't come looking and she will be fine. And if this is her so called boyfriend dont think I will give her to you. She has been mine since I first saw her in the 9th grade. When I actually go to make my move on her to make her mine you had to show up and try to take her. Well she's now mine forever so if you know what's good for her and yourself you'll let us be. Forever, Jewel's only love."

Damien was now pissed. If this little f**k boy thonks he will keep his mate from him, he thinks wrong, very, very wrong. His eyes were starting to turn black and his wolf wanted out to go find this little boy and rip him to shreds. His breathing became heavy. He almost lost it till Alpha Morgan used his Alpha voice. "Damien calm down now. You can't help Jewel if you break your calm now. A good Alpha thinks before he reacts and if he reacts in anger he will fail. If he reacts in strength and thinking things through he will strive with greatness." He know the Alpha was right and he calmed down.

"So whats the plain. Do you think he will be at your party Jennifer?" She thought about it and shook her head no cause he only went to the parties to look for Jewel and since he has her he wouldnt even bother. She came up with the idea to ask people that goes to her school if they knew where James lived and they could look there or see if his family owns any other property they could also be there.

"That is a great plan Jennifer. A smart one at that. He wouldn't expect us to ask his friends or his parents." So after they cleaned up the mess and cleared the dead body from the back they went to the pack house to start their plan.
