The Alpha's Daughter

Chapter 2

I get home as fast as I can to get ready for supper with my dad's special guest. I go to my room which was on the third floor to look for what I was going to wear. I decided on a light pink dress that came up to my thighs. It had a heart neckline strap less and hugged my upper body and fluffed out near the bottom. I matched it with a pair of white flip flops and some diamond ear rings my dad gave me for my 16th birthday last year.

I rush into the bathroom and took me a shower. I used my violet and rose body wash. It calms me down from any kind of day I had. After rinsing off I used my shampoo and washed my hair and then conditioned it. Before I knew it I was in there for more then an hour.

I rushed out to dry myself off and wrapped my big fluffy towel around my body and walked in my room to get dressed. As soon as I was done I heard my dad knock on my door.

"Honey are you done and almost ready he will be here in 45 min."

"Yes dad almost done and I will be down"

"Ok dear just wanted to make sure. See you in a few then"

I heard his foot steps leave my door and I went back to getting ready. I put on light make up just around my eyes. Light pink eye shadow and a little eyeliner just to make my eyes pop. I didn't think i needed to much make up since my skin was always flawless its a benefit of being a werewolf. As i look myself in my floor length mirror behind my door I seen nothing wrong so I head down stairs and meet my dad in the living room.

"oh honey you look wonderful. I'm happy you didn't ignore this. I really think you will be happy to meet these guests tonight."

"Dad who is all that's coming over?"

"You will see soon they should be here in 10 mins."

I looked at my dad and seen he had that"I'm up to something look"

"Dad... what are you up to now?"

He didn't answer and just walked to the front door and held his hand out for me to take and follow him. I did and as we waited for our guests to arrive my mind went to the bright yellow eyes I seen in the woods today. I thought to tell my dad about it but as soon as I went to go say something a big black suv pulled up in front of us and soon I noticed 3 more following in behind it.

As the guards came up to open the doors for the guests I kept thinking these must be my dad's friends and just wanted to show off his only daughter to them. Yes I have an older brother but he is off traveling the world to find his mate. We haven't heard from him in almost a month.

As I was lost in thought I didn't hear my dad saying my name to introduce the guests. I shook out my thoughts and started to pay attention when I seen a man close to my age and he was around 6' tall and had blonde hair and brown eyes. He bowed towards me and I bowed my head a little in respect.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Jewel. My name is Sam Walters and I'm from the neighbouring pack The Crystals Moon pack. I'm the alpha next in line."

He put out his hand and so i took it for a shack but he turned my hand and kissed the back of it with a big smile on his face. I looked up at my dad that now has a huge grin across his face. Now I know why I'm here and these "guests" are coming here for.

As I took my hand back in a nice way i looked at him and smiled.

" Thank you for coming to visit I hope you enjoy your stay here".

He did another bow and walked passed us to go inside while we waited for the other guests. Before he fully passed me he looked over to me and I knew he was looking at my chest and he smiled and kept walking. I hate arrogant wolfs.

As the other cars came and let the others out i notice they were all around my age and all up coming alphas to be for their packs.

One was only 5'9" with dark brown hair and eyes to match, his name was Zilen Crows. He was from the Dark Sky pack. He seems timid around me and my father. But at least he didn't look down my dress before he passed by.

The next was a tall skinny man. He was at least 6'4". His name was Collen Hall. He is from the Blood Moon pack. He had blondish brown hair with hazelnut eyes. He seemed really nice and didn't try anything. Well yet anyways.

And last but not least the last car pulled up and out came some one I seen before. It was the guy at school. I didn't get his name but he came up straight to me and bowed. I was surprised a little when we made eye contact. I could swear I seen his eyes change from his sky blue to a bright golden yellow. I shook my head and looked and he smiled at me.

"I am Damien Fields from the Diamond Moon pack and it's a pleasure to meet you."

He stuck out his hand for me to take and I went to give it him mine when we both seen my hand start to shack. He grabbed it firmly but soft and gave it one shack before letting go. He kept staring into my eyes like he was searching for something that I didn't know was there.

As he was the last guest and I was lost in his eyes my dad cleared his throat beside us to catch our attention and said.

"Why don't we head inside and start dinner."

I stood up straight and turned on my heels and went in before I could embarrass my self even more. As we all headed in towards the table my dad took the top of the table me to his right and the other falled in where they wanted. Of course mr. stairs down my dress sat across while mr. hunk of man meat sat beside me.

I couldn't believe my father had done this to me without warning. He was trying to set me up with one of these guys not knowing if my mate was out there or not. I didn't have an appetite much that night. I didn't feel like eating. My stomach was in between butterflies and knots.

I was about to ask to be excused when I felt a firm but soft touch on my leg beside me. I jumped at the sudden touch. As I slowly looked over he was looking at me then to my plate like it was a demand of him telling me to eat. He smiled when he seen I knew what he wanted and started to rub his thumb across my leg. I did have to admit it helped calm me down some but not to much. It was weird for someone to touch me like that, that I don't know if he was my mate or not.

I decided to take in the comfort of his touch and ate as much as my stomach could take. When I was done I caught his smirk on his face and he moved his hand from my leg. Don't get me wrong yes he was hot yes I have an attraction to him but I only need to feel that way towards my true mate.

As everyone was done eating my father stood and spoke to all of us.

"As you all know my daughter will be turning 17 this next month but she is not like the rest of us. She still hasn't shifted into her wolf." All eyes were on me now.

"I have called you all to see if she was a mate to any of you because she does have a wolf but just hasn't shifted. You guys are all close to being at age where you will feel the mate pull and as you are all close to my pack I would like you all to take time to get to know her and see if by the next few months to see if you are her mate."

I couldn't believe what my father was saying. This isn't what I wanted. Why is he doing this to me and what if none of them are my mate. I would be torn if I get close to one of them and just to find out that im not thier true mate. I felt my eyes start to tear up so I got up and left without a word to anyone.

A few hours had past and I heard everyone else leave and that's when I heard my father at my door. I locked it so he wouldn't be able to get in. He knocked but I didn't answer. He knocked again but this time he said "Sweet heart I know i didn't tell you about this but we need to talk. there is more to this then meets the eye and I would like to explain it all to you. If you could just open the door and come to my office I will." I didn't talk again and it sounded like he whimpered and I could hear his footsteps leave my door.

After a few mins of calm and quiet I decided to go have the talk with my father. so I got up got some sweat pants and a tank top to put them on. I went into my bathroom and washed the make up off my eyes and got dressed. I went out towards his office when i heard him on the phone with some one. I stopped to listen.

"I know i should have sat her down before all this but it has to be done. What will happen if she never shifts then what?"

"I told you she would when the time is right. her wolf is present we can all feel her but she will not shift like all the rest she is too special to be like any regular wolf. She just like her mother." Says the voice on the other line. I didn't recognize it so I kept listening.

"I don't know what to do if she doesn't talk to me after this and I know she's just like Christine I see her more and more each day in her. I just hope her life isn't set with the same destiny as of her mother's. It would kill me."

My mother's what does her destiny have anything to do with mine. I started to remember what had happened that night I lost her. She was reading a book to me before tucking me in bed and my brother came in to listen. As soon as she was done they both left my room. I was about to dose off when I felt a hard hand grip my mouth. It was one of our soldiers trying to keep me quiet. he was set up to protect me if anything happened. I knew by the look in his eyes he was going to mind link me so I opened the link.

"You must be quiet their are wolves here to get you and I have to hide you come with me but be very quiet."

I shook my head in understanding and got up slowly out of bed. He walked me to my closet and hit a latch near the top frame. A door small enough for us to fit through opened in the back. He pushed me in and followed after and slowly closed the door behind him.

After what seemed like 30 mins. I could smell rotten eggs coming into my room. My eyes got as big as saucers and the guard seen i was scared. He put his finger to his lips in a shh movement and I shook my head in agreement. You could here then moving things around trying to look for me when I heard what i wished I didn't. I heard my mother voice coming to my room to tell me to get back in bed when suddenly you hear her growl and i knew she had shifted and started to attack.

It seemed like the fighting lasted a good hour before we heard a thud and then silence. I didn't want to move nor cry in case there were more in there with her. We waited a few more hours until I heard my dad run into my room screaming my mothers name. He was crying and a loud howl came from him. My guard looked at me and told me to wait as he went out towards my room and shut the hidden door behind him. It felt like another 30 mins had passed when the door opened and I seen my brothers head peek in and tell me it's safe.

As I came out all that was their was broken furniture and blood stains everywhere. My father and guard was no where in sight so my brother took my hand and took me down stairs where our father was. You could hear his crys for my mother and his mate that was now probably gone. A tear rolled down my cheek and I let go of my brothers hand and ran to my father. He seen me and opened his arms to run to and caught me in mid run.He just held me and we both cried.

The next morning my dad told me my mother had died trying to keep me safe and that it was her destiny to do so. But when a woman in all white came in the room my father stood up and gave her a hug. I didn't know who she was. When she came over to me she bent down and gave me a hug as well and said the words I didn't understand till now. "Your destiny has just began little wolf and you will be of greatness that we will all come to gain from."

As those words repeated in my head i knew who was the other person on the other line with my father. But what does that have to do with me not shifting yet? I had to find out.
