Chapter 15

I finally wake feeling refreshed. I stretched out but noticed the boys were gone. Where were they off to this early I wondered. There shouldn’t be any meeting this early so where were they? I get up off the bed and hurry to get dressed to go find my mates. I find a cute heart neckline dress that is a silvery purple and put it on. I add some black flip flops to it and go brush my hair. I throw my hair into a ponytail and run out to go find my mates. As soon as I hit the door to their office I heard yelling from more than my mates. There were a lot of people there. I go to knock when Derek opens the door to let me in. He must have smelt me getting close to the door. He stepped aside and when I looked there was my father with my mates and…. my brother? Why was my brother here and when did he show up? He was supposed to be out looking for his mate? Did he find her? Why was he here? You see after my mother died me and him haven’t really been close. I thought he blamed me at first but in reality he blamed himself. He was young too; he was only two years older than me so he really couldn't help it or anyone for that matter. “Jamie?” He looks towards me and gives me a sad smile and comes in for a hug. I hug him back because in truth I did miss him.

We finally pull apart and I see my father have a sad smile on his face. “Jamie, why are you here? I thought you went out to find your mate?” I finally ask. He looks down to me and smiles. “I found her little sis and brought her back with me. She’s in our room asleep from the long trip. You will meet here by lunch time.” He said, giving my arms a small squeeze. I smiled back and looked toward my mates who all now stopped talking and looked at us. Jamie didn’t look much different then me but more like my father. I looked more like my mother but Jamie got her eyes. I got my fathers. I make my way over and we group hug each other. Jamie laughs. “I would have never thought my little sis would have more than one mate, let alone three.” he says and chuckles to himself. My father started to laugh as well, “you should have seen my face when I found out.” “oh no I’m glad I wasn't here for that I don't think I wanna see you try to tear their heads off.” They both start busting out laughing and my mates chuckle at their exchange. I didn't see what was so funny. My dad wasn't that mad. He was happy for us. I just shake my head at them both and ask “so what is going on why is everyone here?”

My mates took my hand and told me how this morning they could smell someone snooping around their office but when they checked the cameras around the halls that lead to their office there wasn’t anyone on the cameras. I thought about what I saw last night while they were asleep and remembered the trap door. Maybe there was one that led in here too. “Do you guys know of any trap doors by any chance?” They look at me like I've gone crazy. So I told them what I saw last night with the shadow guy and we all headed up to the room so I could show them. I went over to where the secret door was and opened it up. The shock look on my mates faces tells me they really didn’t know about the door. Damien steps forward and pulls the door all the way open and steps in. He looks back and tells me to wait here with my father and brother so that him and his brothers will scoop it out. I listened while watching them leave into the dark hall that the door had hidden.

After what seems like hours they return to our room. “Well this one goes straight to our office but there has to be another one in there for them to get out because there is only one hall.” Derek says. “Well I guess we will have to look to see if we can find it.” I say to them all and head back to the office. We all took a part of a wall and looked. My father found the second door and the boys checked it out. They come back a little while after and tell us it follows till its outside. At least I’m not going crazy. I did see that guy in our room. “Babe what’s wrong?” Damien asked. Should I tell them? I don't want them to worry so I decide to tell them. “Last night I saw a man standing in our room and not just one time he did it two times and that is how I knew about the secret door in there. First time you guys didn’t believe me and the second one he was standing at the foot of our bed just watching us but I didn’t show him I saw him and watched him go through the secret door.” They looked at me and Damien came up to me and kissed the top of my head. “We are sorry we didn’t believe you the first time my love. We should have listened the first time you said you saw someone and not think it was just a bad dream. What confuses me is how no one could smell him in the room?” That's when I remembered James never had a scent. I went to school with him and never really could smell him like I could with a regular wolf. “It was James.” they all looked at each other with a scared look.

After they all knew who it was all hell broke loose. My father said something about how they couldn’t protect me and then Damien and Derek started arguing how they could while me and Jamie and Dametry all just shook our heads and left to go to the kitchen and find some food and a cup of coffee for me. It’s way too early for me to argue with my father and mates. I love coffee as much as anyone and I started today without any yet. I make my way over to the warm pot where the aroma is very alluring. I make a very big cup of the good morning wake up call. Jamie just stares and shakes his head at me. "What?" I asked. He looks at me with sad eyes. "You remind me so much of her. I remember she would do the same thing every morning. Make a huge cup of coffee and smell it before drinking it. Just like you just did. It made me go back to when she was still with us." It made me sad thinking about her that I really didn't remember her as much as Jamie did. I went and gave him a hug and heard a little sniffle from him.

My father and my two other mates come down the stairs all still looking angry at each other. My father stops when he sees us hugging and Jamie on the verge of tears. He knew what we were just talking about and came to give us both a hug as well. We all missed her. When we finally split apart I looked over to my mates and I could see the sadness for our loss but also the love they all had for me. We all were interrupted by our thoughts when we heard a clearing of someone's throat. I turned around to see a beautiful woman standing at the bottom of the stairs. She was somewhat taller than me. Long golden brown hair down to the middle of her back. She was wearing a cute tank top the had a ruffle part around the neck line with a pair of off washed colored blue jeans. She was cute just standing there with her hands entangled at the fingers looking down on the ground. Jamie went to her side and put his arm over her shoulders and pulled her closer to us. "Sis meet my mate Amanda. She's from a pack overseas in England." Then he turned to her and said everyone's introductions. I went and gave her a hug and told her "welcome to the family."

She gave us all a huge smile and said "I'm happy to finally meet you all. Jamie wouldn't stop talking about all of you and how much he missed everyone." I looked at my brother and smiled knowing he told her about us. I saw him looking down at her with the same look my mates give me and knew he loved her already. "Well since you're here we must do an all girls day out shopping. I'll invite my best friend Jennifer to join as well. You're gonna love her and she loves you." She looked so happy when I said an all girls day. "I can't wait. I've heard so much about American stores and the different clothes that they have plus what women don't like to shop for new clothes." She said and we both laughed when the guys just huff and shake their heads at us. Which only made us laugh more.

I knew we would become close friends by the end of the day. She has a bubbly type way about her you just couldn't be upset around her and that's when I knew she would be great with Jamie and she would also be great Luna in the end. Before I could leave to start making plans for our girls day Dametry spoke up. "We have to get more warrior's to go around and watch for more intrusions and to also make some keep around the house to make sure we don't have any more unwanted guests again." My father was happy to hear that and shook his head in approval. Jamie did the same. Damien nodded and walked off to start telling our warriors their new positions. Dametry looked at me and Amanda and told us "if you go out of the packlands I will send 4 guards with you to keep an eye on not just you guys but to make sure the others don't mess with you all." I knew not to argue so I nodded and went to call my bestie Jennifer to tell her what we were gonna do.

To say Jennifer was excited was an understatement. She loved to go shopping as much as anyone and she was excited to also meet Amanda. She was over at the pack house within only fifteen minutes after we hung up dragging a poor Zilen behind her. He looked tired for some reason and I would ask him about it later or at least ask Jennifer when we are alone. I might not want to know if it's dealing with their mating or maybe it could be something troubling but they are my friends and I can't help but worry about them. Which reminds me to ask Dametry something. I walked over to him and pulled him by his hand and jerked my head to show him to follow me.

We went into a more private area where everyone couldn't hear our conversation. "What is it baby girl? Everything is ok?" He asked, puzzled at what I wanted to talk in private about. I looked up at him and just asked "have you heard from Collen lately? I haven't seen or heard from him since the day I got back to you guys?" He looked up trying to remember but he shook his head no. That makes me wonder if he was ok. "Can you call him and see if he is ok I just worried about him with all this stuff going on. I don't want him to get involved but I also don't want anything bad to happen to him and we do not know about it." He looked down at me and gave me a smile. "You're already acting like Luna. Worrying about everyone's well being. You're going to be a great Luna." He says while he comes and hugs me. Before he pulls away he kisses the top of my head and pulls me so his head is at the crease of my neck and shoulder. He took in a big whiff of my scent and let out a big sigh. "You smell so good love. I don't know how to handle you smelling so tempting around me in a room by yourself." He says while keeping his head at my neck. Soon as I was gonna pull away I felt him lick up my neck towards my earlobe. He nibbled it and then pulled me to arms length. This man is going to drive me insane one of these days.

We make our way out to where everyone else is. Dametry has his arm over my shoulders and I'm holding his hand. He leans in and kisses the top of my head again and goes to talk to the guys while I make my way over to the girls. Jennifer sees me coming her way and smirks at me. Like she knew what was happening in there. I can feel my face heat up with embarrassment. She laughs at my uncomfortable situation. I push her barely on her shoulder to hush. Amanda giggled knowing as well what had happened. We all had our mates and knew what happened in a closed room with them. We are wolves. We can't go too long without touching each other. Soon we were done laughing at my embarrassing moment. We went up to my room to start getting ready to leave.

After everything that's been going on I need to get out and have a relaxing day with my friends. I just hope nothing goes wrong today. We all have been through alot the past couple of days. Me more then anyone but I know i will be fine with my family, friends, and mates by my side. Shaking my head to get the negative thoughts out I go to my closet to find an outfit for our shopping trip. I find a cute off the shoulder lace baby pink shirt with a pair of blue jeans shorts. I go to my bathroom and take a quick shower and change. When I came out Jennifer helped me with my hair while Amanda wanted to do my makeup. She said she loved doing it and if she didn't find Jamie when she did she was going to go to school to be a cosmetologist. When they were done I looked in the mirror. I loved the way I looked. Jennifer put half my hair up in a clip and made the rest of my hair fall around the clip to make it look like it's a waterfall around it but with hair instead of water. Amanda didn't put too much makeup on me. She did a little light pink eyeshadow to match my shirt and winged eyeliner to make my eyes pop. She also added a light pink blush to my high cheek bones. I loved it all.

Happy with the way I looked we all grab each other's arms by the elbow and walk down together. As we enter the room with the boys my mates all stop and turn to see me. I can see all their eyes look me up and down. My legs were on display as well as their mark on my neck with the shirt off my shoulders and my hair done. We all heard a low growl coming from them and soon all three were around me. I felt so small compared to my big mates right now. One by one they leaned in to sniff around my neck where their mark is. I could feel the goosebumps start when they would touch their noses close to my mark. Before it got too heated I felt Jennifer sneak in and grab my hand and pull me out of there. That made them growl at her for it but we all laughed at their faces now. You can tell they were embarrassed at it all now. The looks on their faces was priceless.

Soon after we said our goodbyes we were heading to the SUV that had our warriors waiting for us. We made our way to the mall in the human town close by. It was huge. It was a three story building and it was full of people going in and out the doors. We finally found a parking spot and made our way in. Two warriors in front of us while two were behind us. When we entered the front doors all you could smell was all the types of food centers they had here in the food court. We passed all of them making a mental note of which ones we wanted to go to after the shopping was done. We went to maybe three or four stores on each level. When done we made our way back to the food court and found us a seat. We were all tired now. One of the warriors took our bags to the car while one went to get our orders. I noticed Amanda kept looking over her shoulder with a nervous look on her face.

"Is everything ok Amanda?" I asked while grabbing her hand. It must have scared her cause she jumped at the contact. Me and Jennifer shared a look then asked again. " What's wrong Amanda, what are you all jumpy about?" Giving her hand a squeeze and a small smile. "It may be nothing but that guy has been following us since we hit the first store." She said while I looked where she was looking over her shoulder before. When I saw who it was my face went white. It was Alpha Sam. John one if our warriors mindlinked me saying. "Luna, we know who he is and have been keeping an eye on him this whole time. Alpha Dametry also knows he's here as well and told us just to make sure he doesn't try anything. If he gets too close we will handle him." He said before cutting the link. I nodded my head at him for appreciating him and his men.

Soon as the food was here at the tables we all ate and then left. Midway to the pack house I got another mindlink from John. "Luna he's been following us this whole time but if he is dumb enough to follow close to the house the Alphas and your father and brother are waiting for him in the tree line before we reach it. Don't worry the other's so act natural." Again he closed the link. I kept my composer and then when I looked out the window I could feel my mates were close. That means we were close to the pack house.

I started to feel a little nervous about it all. When we rounded the last corner towards the pack house the car behind us zooms up and rams the back end of our SUV. The butt hole is trying to kill us. We all look back and all I see is Sam with the most evilest look on his face while backing up to ram us again. "What is he doing?" Jennifer yells. Amanda balls herself up in a ball beside Jennifer and I'm a loss for words. My heart started to race as I turned towards the driver and yelled at him "Drive Now." He stomped the pedal all the way down as we zoomed towards the pack house and I don't see Sam's car anymore after that. When we pull up to the front of the pack house I go into Luna mode. "Jennifer, I want you to take Amanda inside up to my room don't come out until we tell you it's clear. You two." I say pointing at two of the guards. "Go with them and don't let anyone near the door unless it's either me or one of the Alpha's. John you and the other warrior stay with me out front we hold anyone here." When I finished we all nodded and got out of the SUV.

It was eerily quiet. Then it all got really loud. We could hear the growls of the fight start. I could feel everytime one of my mates got hit. It's like a dull pain wherever they get hit at. I hope they are all ok. I know my father and brother are there too. I just hope they catch him and no one ends up really badly injured in the end. After what seemed like forever the growls stopped. I knew my mates were ok cause I could feel them getting closer to me. I ran toward them, happy they were ok. I finally met up with them hugging my three mates in a group hug when I saw my father and brother dragging a non moving body with them. I gasped when I saw him. It was Alpha Sam alright, just all bloody and cuts all over his face and body. "Take him to the cells" my father ordered the two warriors that came up.

"What are you gonna do to him now?" I asked Dametry and my father. "We will question him about everything and then decide to either send him to the Council or deal with it ourselves." My father answered me instead. I knew what it meant to take care of it themselves but I didn't know if it would be better to do that or send him to the Council to handle it. The Council was a group of older wolves that used to be Alpha's in our region. They really only dealt with the easy troublemakers and some Alphas that turned evil or bad to their packs. "It's against wolf law to touch another Alpha's Luna. You know this sweet heart. He has to pay no matter what he has done." My father spoke in a matter of fact tone that meant not to question him.

We all go back to the pack house and I go up to my room leaving the men in the living room to finish talking. I knocked on the door and yelled to Jennifer, "It's all clear girls the guys got him. You're safe." The door slowly opens and I see Jennifer peek out the small crack to make sure I was the only one there and wasn't forced to get them out by Sam. I waved with a half a smile and she came out to engulf me into a rib crushing hug. "I was so worried about you. You were out there by yourself and without me there to help if anything happened." I can feel her quietly crying on my shoulder while I patted her back. "I was fine. I had two warriors with me. Plus you think my mates would let that man anywhere near me again before they could kill him. There are three of them." I said pulling her back at arms length. "That is right isn't it." She says back while busting out laughing. Amanda finally comes out and looks at us like we were the crazy ones. I send her a small smile while giving her a reassuring hug.

"I wouldn't be able to do what you did back there Jewel. I was scared and the guy wasn't even after me pacifically." Amanda said in a hushed tone. We were all sitting on my bed talking about what all had happened. Jennifer shakes her head in agreement to Amanda. "I just did what I would do in any situation like that. My father taught me that a great Luna not only makes sure everyone is safe during times of attack but also makes sure the Alpha and warriors do what they should to protect everyone else." They both looked shocked at that. "What?" I looked at them both. "I was never told stuff like that growing up. But I also didn't think I would be a Luna someday." Amanda says in a sad tone. Jennifer just looks down before she spoke "I always thought I was going to be a warrior for our pack. Now I'm gonna be Luna to a whole nother pack." A small tear goes down her cheek and I know she's sad because she has to not only leave our pack but also start over trying to make friends with everyone. We ended our girl talk by hugging for what seemed like 3 hours just sitting on my bed in one big hug.
