“Again?”
“Yeah,” Timothy sighed. “She refuses to leave the lab even though you told her she’s a free woman now.”
Caleb frowned. The vaccine has been completed, his deal with Dr Rockmiller was now complete. There wasn’t a need for her to constantly work around the clock or rush. The scientist had made up for her mistakes and everything else that she does for humanity will only be icing on the cake.
Then again, he looked at the hacker. Timothy wasn’t any better. Between dealing with the countries that sent representatives to negotiate vaccine deals with them and working on Caleb’s secret AI project for the last automated assistant slot, the young man looked like he aged five years ever since the start of the apocalypse.
“You should take a break too,” Caleb told him. “The worst is over.”
