“Bagels?” Caleb asked when he turned up at Helen’s doorstep. The University had become a crowded spot with many new subway survivors flocking to it. Thankfully, it was in an area that the patrol team frequented so Caleb had no problems with ghouls on his way. He could take a stroll if he really wanted but Caleb chose to drop by a cook’s place before he visited Helen. The scientist must be really bored of the instant food at her lab by now, surely some fresh bagels would put her in a better mood. Helen looked terrible.
