Caleb’s Request

For some reason, Caleb felt like he had once been acquainted with this strange dream and sense of weightlessness. It was a memory from a long time ago but the system developer couldn’t remember it. Tired. Caleb felt exhausted down to his very bone and the weightless feeling was very comforting. All he wanted to do now was go back to sleep but someone refused to grant him peace. “Caleb Houston,” the voice that was neither male nor female spoke. He knew that voice. Against his will, Caleb opened his eyes and saw a blinding light that strangely didn’t hurt his eyes. He felt the domineering presence and the hazy memories sharpened. “God?” The voice chuckled. “Some call me that. We meet again.” There was a long pause as Caleb tried to arrange the memories he received from both lifetimes.
