Amaya woke up to the sound of beeps and white walls. It smelt oddly like the hospital. She groans softly when it was indeed, the hospital walls greeted her view. Her head throb and she winced when her fingers felt the bandage over her head. Not only did her head throb but her legs felt sore. She was alone in the room, or so she thought. “You’re up,” a deep familiar voice chipped and she whipped her head to the side. The action made the throb pound louder but she ignored it. Marc looked at her but his eyes were hard. What happened when I passed out? I remember running away from mom and dad... Why… Why is his face bruised? “We need to talk,” Amaya gulp at his hard tone.
