Chapter forty-nine

JESS’S POINT OF VIEW Before I know I was walking down the aisle linked with Peter’s arm. I don’t know why but I felt more nervous now than doing anything else. I didn’t know how tight I was holding Peter’s arm until he prized his fingers between his arm and my hand. It kind of felt like I was underwater, I couldn’t hear anything properly. I had been so lost in thought that I didn’t even notice I was already at the altar. Lewis looked so handsome he made me breathless just looking at him. I noticed his eyes are wet. He reached out and used his thump to wipe my cheeks I didn’t even notice I had been crying till he did that. I seem to be doing nothing but crying or being emotional lately. “Kitten?” I heard Lewis say. I blinked. Looking around. Elder Ramus cleared his throat, and I turned to look at him. “Do you, Jessica Livit, take, Lewis Johnson, to be your husband?” he said pointedly. Were we really at this point already? “I do,” I say. Next thing I know Lewis had dipped me and smashed his lips to mine in a way he only ever does when he wants me to know that I am his. Then everything erupted, I heard the guests cheer and clap. Then Lewis allowed me to stand up and with that, we walked back down the aisle, as everyone throw confetti all over us, together as husband and wife. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Lewis this is not funny?” I said to him as he guided me with his hands over my eyes. “Why are you laughing then?” he said in my ear. I had no idea what my mate was up to know. He obviously had a surprise in mind, I used to not like surprises, but Lewis did them anyway and I got used to them. I heard a door open and a chime of a little bell in front of me. We had only been back from our honeymoon for a day or two in the Caribbean. And he was still giving me surprises and gifts. Nearly our inter honeymoon consisted of dinner, s*x, or him treating me to one thing or another. I have managed to make him understand that it was a bit mean on his pack members to make them train every morning, so he has taken it down to five days a week and weekends off. “TA-DA!” he said removing his hands so I could finally see. I blinked adjusting to the new light. When I could see properly, I could hardly believe my eyes. It was like a Zen room just for me. I walked around the room taking every little detail. The walls were a plain ivory colour. There was a purple coloured carpet that was soft and squishy underfoot. A rug was in the middle that had the moon cycles on it. On the walls, there was the moon calendar and a picture of me and Lewis plus a tapestry of the chakras. There was a small little water fountain on the floor and a medium-sized blossom tree in the corner. There were a few little tables on the edge of the room on top there were different coloured crystals on top and different incense burners. There was a small basic wooden cupboard in a corner when I opened the doors it was full of different coloured candles and boxes of incense. I looked up at the ceiling and saw there were a couple of dream catchers hanging down. When I turned round to face Lewis, he looked nervous. He smiled at him, and he let out a big breath he didn’t seem to know he was holding. “This is amazing,” I told him still looking around the room, it wasn’t big, but it wasn’t small, it was just right. “I was scared you wouldn’t like it.” He said rubbing the back of his neck. “It’s just right, Daddy,” I said as I walked up to him, I hugged his waist. He hugged me back and kissed the top of my head. Then I was struck by a sudden thought. “Who helped you with this?” I asked him. “How do you know I didn’t do it myself?” he asked sounding a little wounded. I just looked up at him and c****d my eyebrow up at him. “I asked the girls on what to do as I couldn’t have you go round blasting people with your power, can I?” he said looking down at me a bit smug. I laughed at this he was right of course. I had started meditating to train my powers but every time I did something, or someone would interrupt me and make me annoyed therefore causing me to throw out a burst of power whether I wanted to or not. “Thank you, Daddy,” I said kissing him gently on the lips. “I need to go thank the girls for helping you out.” He took my hand and led me out of the room. Turns out my Zen room was on our floor at the end of the hallway. We walked to the game room that was on the bottom floor. The girls were on the sofa painting their nails and their mates were all playing a combat video game. “Hey, boss. Care to join?” Kane asked, seeing who walked in. “Sure.” Lewis vaulted over the sofa and settled himself on the rug next to Peter and grabbed the fourth controller. “Hey, skank.” “You good, b***h?” “Sup, Hoe.” Were the girls’ usual greetings for each other and me. I smiled and chuckled to myself and walked over to them. Picking out some nail varnish. “Hey, sluts. How is it going?” I say as I sat down in between Leah and Lily, and I started painting my toenails. They gave me a rundown of how their mornings have been. I smiled knowing that they were all happy. “The f**k mans?!” I heard Angelo and Kane exclaim. I looked over and see Lewis and Peter high fiving each other in triumph. They started to get along a lot better since Peter and Layla had marked each other and even better since Layla is just under a month pregnant. Lewis was more than a little annoyed but then he realised he would be an uncle, so he became suddenly very excited. Me and the girls laughed at the boys. “Thank you, guys, for helping Lewis with my Zen room,” I told them. They shrugged it off saying it was pretty easy, and Lewis had absolutely no idea what he was doing. “Layla how you doing?” I asked referring to her pregnancy she was the youngest out of all of us being 18 nearly 19 now. “I’m okay; I haven’t thrown up at all yet. But I am starting to be more picker with my foods.” She says finishing her last toe. “You know this is probably going to be the last time for a while you’re going to be able to do your own toes,” I tell her. “I know it’s why I am doing it and making sure they look good.” She says smiling at her finished work and then up at me. Then Peter’s phone rang. He took it out and answered it. Holding it between his cheek and shoulder, so he could still play his game. “Hey... I’m good, you? uhm, yeah…. Okay… that’s cool…. I’ll ask. Lewis, can Andrew and Henry come to visit?” Lewis nodded, clearly to focused on the game to verbally respond. “Yeah, it’s cool…. Alright, see you tomorrow.” He shoved his phone away to concentrate on his game. They did a few more rounds and then decided to call it quits and came to sit next to all their mates. But as soon as Peter got near Layla and kissed her cheek she runs to the bathroom, and we could hear her chucking up. Peter looked a bit confused and hurt. She came back out looking very pale. Peter tried to go to her and make sure she was okay, but she held up her hand to stop him. “Babe, you need to go shower and get rid of the body spray and aftershave, the smell is making me feel sick now.” “Princess, you’ve always liked how they smell.” He whines and he looks really hurt. He looked at her and sighed. “Okay, I’ll go shower and throw them away.” With that, he walked out of the room. When he was out of the room, we all laughed except Layla who looked sad that she had to make her mate get rid of his favourite stuff. We decided to go our separate ways after sitting and chatting. I went to use my new Zen room; I set up a few candles and light some incense.
