CASSANDRA'S POINT OF VIEW
It’s finally the 26th the day us girls and even the guys had been waiting for. The stag and hen do! Lewis said no exotic dancers, but he didn’t know that he was going to be “Kidnapped” tonight and dragged to a strip club himself. Rowan told me that it was all the guys’ idea to see him squirm and be awkward.
So, of course, we were taking Jess to a place with male strippers as well. Although she didn’t know about that. We were all waiting for Jess at the bottom of the stairs, we were all wearing sashes saying bridesmaids, Jess had one saying bride to be and a fluffy, feathery tiara as well.
She came downstairs looking extremely relieved that this was basically the last day of fussing about her wedding, Layla wanted to do one last fitting of the wedding dress tomorrow just to make sure. Even though it already fitted perfectly.
“Ready?” Leah said.
“Yeah, where are we going?” Jess asks.
“It’s a surprise,” I say leading us all out to the car.
The car ride was a blur of glitter, perfume, and music—someone had queued up a playlist titled “Chaos & Champagne,” and it lived up to its name. Jess tried to guess our destination, but each suggestion was met with coy smiles or mischievous winks. The city flashed by in neon streaks as we navigated side streets, everyone buzzing with conspiracy and delight.
We pulled up in front of a velvet-curtained building that looked almost too chic for our rambunctious group. Inside, the air shimmered with anticipation and disco lights. Our table was covered in confetti and pink cocktails, and as soon as Jess slipped into her seat, the night unfolded: toasts, laughter, dares, and—yes—a troupe of chiseled dancers who appeared just as Jess was taking a sip of her drink. Her shriek of delight set off a tidal wave of giggles. There were party games, impromptu karaoke, and endless photos, the kind that would be cherished—and possibly blackmailed with—for years to come.
Meanwhile, across town, the guys were plotting their own brand of havoc, and though we didn’t know it yet, the evening would hold more surprises than any of us could have predicted.
