Chapter thirty-one

307 Words
JESS’S POINT OF VIEW So, my Luna ceremony went great, as did the pack run plus, I am now engaged to my mate. I mean apart from the elder thinking I’m some kind of powerful wolf that’s meant to go head to head with an all-powerful warlock or something, I would say the night went well. “Time for bed, Kitten,” Lewis said as I yawned and leaned on his shoulder. Once we had come back to the celebration, we decided that there was no point in worrying and to just enjoy the night. So that’s exactly what we did. We had some drinks and talked to a lot of the pack members. I feel it’s safe to say that even if I am not liked all around, they all at least respect me. For the past half hour, we were just sitting at a table talking to my new family. When I suddenly felt a rush of tiredness. Lewis picked me up bridal style. “Goodnight, everyone. Don’t stay up too late as we still have training tomorrow morning.” I heard Lewis say to everyone. “Night.” That is all I could mumble before darkness took me over feeling so safe and secure in Lewis’ strong arms, cradled against his chest listening to his heartbeat as my lullaby. Rhianna was just making me my cup of morning tea before I went to watch the guys spar with each other. Today was the day where Peter would take Layla back to my old pack and Andrew, Henry and Rowan would leave too. I wanted to spend a bit more time with them. Especially Layla, in my opinion, best fashion designer. I don’t know what I’ll do now for occasions as I doubt, I’ll be able to go back and forth as often as needed.
