Chapter thirty-four

266 Words
JESS’S POINT OF VIEW I was taking a walk through the woods as there wasn’t much to do now and being in nature helped me de-stress. Being Luna is hard but not as hard as I first thought it would be. I needed some time on my own, so I ordered Chris and Luca to stay at the packhouse, they weren’t happy about it but because it was an order they had to follow it. I was just coming up to the edge of the territory when I smelt something like a mix between burnt barbecue and sewage. Every single one of my senses was on high alert now as them kind of scents usually come from Rogues. I mind-linked Chris to let him know. “Chris, there’s Rouges in the woods.” “Luna. Get back to the packhouse and we shall be there soon.” I turned around to do what Chris had said but I was met with a group of a dozen wolves. I noted that they were much bigger than normal werewolves. They were still a few feet away slowly stalking towards me. I shifted knowing it would be easier to fight in wolf form than human. I prayed that Chris, Luca, and the other guards aren’t too far away. “Chris. Edge of the broader near dark mouth cave. There’s a dozen of them, I’m trapped.” “We are on our way, Luna.” When I opened my eyes all I remember was seeing three of the rouges launch themselves at me. Then my mind was drowned in darkness.
