Chapter twenty-five

JESS’S POINT OF VIEW

We put my Luna dress in my closet so I could get dressed and ready in my bedroom, while Lewis would get ready in Kane’s room with him. We were both laughing when we got downstairs; Layla at least seemed in a better mood than when I walked into her room.

We went into the kitchen to find Rhianna sitting at the kitchen island with all eight males kneeling on the floor with their arms raised.

“Ummm…. What’s going on here?” I asked nervously. Layla looked like she was going to break a rib from trying not to laugh.

“I am teaching these boys not to be so childish,” Rhianna said hotly glaring at them all.

Of which included, Lewis, Kane, Angelo, Peter, Andrew, Henry, Rowan, and even Fred. I tried my best not to laugh as they all looked like naughty schoolboys.

“Would you like a cup of tea dears?”

“Yes please.” Me and Layla said at once, while we sat on the stools on the kitchen island.

“Oh, my goddess.” I turned round to find Lily and Leah walking into the kitchen. “Jess you're sitting on your own ass for once!” Lily exclaimed.

“Ha, ha very funny.” Rolling my eyes and taking the cup of tea offered to me by Rhianna. Lewis looked a little bit hurt that I was actually sitting on my own ass for once and not his lap. Well, I suppose he should learn to behave.

“What have the boys done now?” Leah said looking over at them all, while Rhianna made them tea as well.

“Acting childishly,” Rhianna said.

“How often does this happen?” I asked wondering if I should get used to this scene.

“Often enough. She only does it when absolutely necessary. Though it hasn’t happened in a few months. Their arms above their head make the Lactic acid in their arms build-up and it can be fairly painful.” Leah said and with that, we girls started giggling uncontrollably.

“Also, the bigger the muscles are the more lactic acid builds up,” Lily said eyeing Angelo.

"It's this or she whacks you with her rolling pin," Layla said nodding to her mother.

"Really?" I ask. They nodded still sniggering slightly.

“Do you girls want to join them?” we shut up when Rhianna threatened us. The boys however sniggered at us almost being in trouble. “An extra 5 minutes,” Rhianna said sharply. The boys groaned. “Want to make it 10?” she said challengingly the boys shook their heads. “Good.” She nodded sharply.

After a few moments, we started gossiping about the Luna ceremony.

“There are just a few last-minute decorations to put up and the food, which is just going to be a buffet. Then everything should be already.” Rhianna said.

I looked out the patio doors to see that there were a few people still working on it all. It was only 2 o’clock meaning we didn’t have to leave to get ready for about another 2 hours as the ceremony started at 7.

“Okay, boys you can get up now,” Rhianna said.

They all stood up rolling their shoulders. But within a few moments, the five of us girls all squealed when our respective mates all picked us up and put us down on their laps. After I had finished giggling, I wrapped my arms around Lewis and kissed his cheek.

“You are not allowed to sit on your own ass ever again, Kitten.” Giving my ass a quick slap making me jump and go red in the face I hid in the crook of his neck. I wasn’t really that embarrassed, truth is I just loved being here I felt so safe and calm.

“You’re all so cute,” Andrew said after a few minutes.

I looked up to see that he, Henry, and Rowan looked a little crestfallen. I got up from Lewis's lap and sat on Andrews's lap, giving him a kiss on the cheek. Leah and Lily followed my lead and sat on Henry and Rowan's lap. Our mates however growled, obviously getting territorial.

“Oh, quite you. They need a little bit of attention too.” I said smiling and hugging Andrew. He, Henry, and Rowan looked a bit awkward not knowing what to do with the three ranked females sitting on their laps.

Our mates pulled us all back to them. Lewis inhaled my scent “Mine” he growled lowly. After we hung out together for a bit longer, I decided to leave a bit sooner so I could get a bath and get ready.

I was just finishing up in the bath when someone knocked on the bathroom door.

“Hey, Luna. Lewis sent us to help get you ready.” Came Layla’s voice from the other side of the door.

“Okay, give me a minute.”

I pulled the plug, stood up, grabbed my towel, and wrapped myself up. When I opened the bathroom door, I was met with three familiar faces. Layla, Lily, and Leah. When I was in view, they pulled me into the walk-in closet.

“Get dry, girl,” Lily said with a big ass smile.

I’ve never been scared of showing my body off to males or females. So, I dried my body and put my peppermint lotion on. I walked over to my dressing table and dried my hair with a hair drier. While the girls picked out the right type of make-up, and hairstyle for me. I didn’t know too much about hair or make-up I usually underdo it or overdo it there never seemed to be an in-between with me.

“Alright, put these on,” Layla commanded. You could tell she’s an Alpha Female by birth; I looked at what she meant.

She picked out some basic matching underwear set, plus some skin-coloured tights. I put them on and then my dress over it. My dress was a deep purple, shorter in the front long at the back. The bottom just skimmed the floor, with a sweetheart neckline. It was a corset-type body, not much detail, till the waist then it had a stain material under a piece of mesh material. There were sequins scattered about on the skirt, then there was the crystal in between my breasts that Layla added as a surprise to me.

“Alright, sit down let us do your hair and make-up,” Leah ordered.

I sat down on the stool in front of my dresser and just let the girls work on me. Leah did my hair in loose ringlets and pinned them up leaving the odd few hanging down to frame my face. Lily did my make-up, some light blush, a nude lip gloss, and winged eyeliner. Layla put on my heeled boots, they were also purple, with streaks of silver on that laced up and came to just under my knee.

“Don’t forget that after the ceremony you need to come up here and get ready for the pack run,” Lily said cheerily.

“Right, what do I have to wear to shift?” I asked.

“Come up here, get out of your dress and put this robe on,” Layla said showing a simple purple robe.

“Then after the run come back up here and get changed in this outfit for the rest of the party and enjoy yourself.” Finished Leah, tipping her head to the side where an outfit was hanging with some brand new underwear that I never noticed before.

“Lewis brought it just for you, just for tonight,” Lily said very happily, almost too happily.

As they were just putting the finishing touches on, I noticed that whenever I made eye contact with either of them they would just smile at me then look away.

“What’s up, guys?” I asked them at last.

They all giggled then looked away. I shrugged it off as I just wanted to focus on this night. When they were done, I looked at myself in the full mirror in the walk-in closet and even I was blown away with how good I looked.
