Chapter ten

PETER’S POINT OF VIEW

It has been nearly two weeks since Jess left to be with her mate. I am happy for her, I am, but I cannot help but feel a bit sad at losing my best friend and still not having a mate. As I was on guard duty this week at the packhouse along with a dozen others of my team, I was nearly always being harassed by Molly. b***h still thinks she can get with me.

She always came up to me and tried to touch me, but nothing about her was even remotely attractive to me. She wore far too much makeup and was always in heels, wearing very reviling clothes, leaving nothing to the imagination. Why is she so unable to just go find her mate already and leave me the f**k alone? But then again, I would not be surprised if she did not have a mate.

“Why won’t you love me? That b***h is gone now,” she said, yet again. We were still going around in circles, she just didn’t quit.

“Because, as I have said a dozen times before, you are not my mate. It is never going to happen. So, get over it for the love of the Goddess.”

She screamed in my face and stomped away, leaving me to actually do my job.

“Hey, Bro. Molly still harassing you I take it?” Andrew came up to me, probably doing his rounds with everyone.

“Yeah, man. I do not get what her deal is. I just want to be left the f**k alone and wait for my mate.” I sighed back at him.

“Why? I mean it's not like you are a Virgin, you have f****d Jess enough times.”

“So, not the point. I mean would you sleep with Molly?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. He nodded to show I had a point. "Speaking of Jess, have you heard from her at all? I thought she would have written or called sooner.”

“Oh, yeah. The Alpha told me that he and Luna had received an invitation to the Golden Moon pack for their Luna ceremony.” For some reason, hearing that made my heart hurt a little, how come she did not invite me? Andrew put his hand on my shoulder and said “Do not worry dude, I am sure she just got caught up with everything and will call when she has a chance.” With that, he smiled, clapped me on the back and turned to walk away to continue his rounds.

I looked off into the distance, starting to pray soon that the moon goddess would give me my mate soon because I did not know how long I could go with Molly harassing me every f*****g day. I thought maybe I could travel and try to find my mate that way. I would have to run it with Andrew first as he is technically my boss.
