Chapter eleven

LAYLA’S POINT OF VIEW I was fitting Jess for her Luna Ceremony dress. I have wanted to be a fashion designer ever since I was a little girl. After her week-long heat was over, she thought it would be a good time to start planning it. She chooses the colour theme. It’s usually the pack colors, blue and white, but she wanted to add a dash of purple to it. I guessed it was her favorite colour. I mean she does, her hair a deep purple, even though she says she does not. I have never seen a wolf with purple hair. The only creatures with abnormal hair colors naturally were faeries and pixies, some very powerful witches as well. She was great. I already loved her like a big sister. I was so happy that she was my brother's mate and will soon become Luna. Officially, she is going to be so good for this pack and my brother. Thinking of the two being mates got me thinking of when I would meet mine. I know I only just turned 18 a few months back, so I was not really all that desperate for one yet, but smelling Jess’s heat from the top floor even started to make me go a bit wild. I was still a virgin, but that does not mean that male wolves did not try it on with me. I mean, I knew I was good-looking and nearly everyone stared at me when I went past. “Ow!” That shook me from my thoughts. I accidentally stuck a pin in her leg. “Oh. I am so sorry Luna. I got lost in thought. Are you okay?” “It is okay, I am alright. It will heal in a matter of minutes.” She looked at me with concern on her face. “What is up?” “Oh, nothing. I was just wondering when I would meet my mate.” I looked her up and down. “Alright, I think you are all done, if you take the dress off, I will start sewing it up.” She slipped the dress off and put her jumper back on. “Do not worry, you will meet your mate when the time is right.” She smiled, and I nodded to her, grateful for the comforting words. My mother said the same thing. “Hey, I know, a few guys back in my old pack who do not have mates yet. I will invite them to the ceremony this weekend and see where it goes?” I nodded at her, thanked her, and she walked out of my sewing room, since I had told my family I was planning on being a fashion designer. Lewis cleared out a room for me to be my very own sewing room and even brought all the top-of-the-range gadgets I might need. I started to go into my daydream again about my mate and me when we would finally meet. Jess was right, I did not need to worry yet, and there was plenty of time for me to meet him.
