JESS’S POINT OF VIEW

When I walked out of Layla’s sewing room, I was excited to call Peter and the guys; I knew I would have to say sorry for not doing it sooner. But better late than never, right?

I enjoyed the little catch-up with Peter, he was more than happy to accept, he even said he will try to bring the guys as well, I hoped they could make it. My ceremony was on Saturday evening, he said they will try to be here tomorrow or on Saturday morning, that’s when I realized that today was only Thursday.

After my phone call with him and the guys I went down for something to eat, I was still regaining my energy from going through my heat. Apparently, no one has ever heard of someone going through a heat for seven days. They wondered if anything was wrong, but after a check-up, with the pack doctor, they just assumed it was a one-off thing and dismissed it. After my last orgasm this morning, the thought of s*x made me want to be sick and I did not want Lewis near me. I pushed him off me and told him not to touch me for the next few days and to keep his d**k away from me, making him chuckle.

Walking into the kitchen no one was around I supposed they were all busy with preparations for Saturday, I decade on grabbing a piece of fruit and a glass of water. I sat on a stool at the kitchen island and ate my snack. I was quite happy just eating and staring off outside seeing the people set up when suddenly someone grabbed the back of my head and smashed my face on the countertop, breaking my nose!

“YOU ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO BE THE LUNA OF THIS PACK! OR TO BE LEWIS’S MATE! YOU DON'T DESERVE HIM! GET OUT OF MY PACKHOUSE!”

Oh, goddess give me a f*****g break, please! It was Rebecca, this b***h did not know when to quit. I stood up turning around, to give her a piece of my mind, and then all of a sudden, she slapped me across my face.

“I DID NOT DO ANYTHING TO YOU! YOU BETTER CLEAR OFF BEFORE LEWIS FINDS OUT WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!”

She laughed at this. “Aww, you want Lewis to come to fight your battles. Some Luna you are cannot even stand up for herself.”

That really got to me, hell no. I can stand up for myself! Now I was really pissed, I am not a damsel in distress, and I am going to show this b***h who is his mate and her Luna. But before I could even try to swing at her, she turned and walked out of the room, I was going to go after her but then Angelo came in. I guess she sensed him coming and decided to run before she got caught. When Angelo saw me, he ran up to me checking me over.

“Luna! What happened? Who did this?” He gripped my chin turning my head from side to side examining the damage.

“No one. I slipped and my face smacked onto the countertop.” I sucked at lying, Angelo raised an eyebrow like he did not believe me, I mean it was a pretty poor lie. Angelo took me to the pack hospital to get my nose checked over.

I got my X-ray done and was waiting in the room for the Doctor to come in and tell me what's what. I was starting to feel better already really.

“Well, Luna I just checked your X-ray over and there does not seem to be any big damage, just a superficial fracture. It should heal just after your ceremony.” Dr. Mannie said walking in front of me to get a good look at my nose. Dr. Mannie was a centaur and the first one I’ve ever seen, I was fairly surprised at first but got used to him quickly. He used more herbal medicines if possible so that people will recover more naturally before resorting to medicines.

“Kitten! There you are! Are you okay?” Lewis came running in with Angelo and Kane in tow. He looked frantic I guess Angelo must have mind-linked him to let him know I got hurt. I was going to say I was okay, but before I could, he embraced me tightly.

“Alpha, I must insist you calm down, as you can see, she is fine, just a slight break on her nose.”

“WHAT?” Lewis shouted. Oh, no, he was pissed. But seeing me flinch he calmed down and took hold of my arms. “Kitten tells me what happened?”

I looked at Angelo and he nodded his head. I did not want to give Rebecca the satisfaction of me running to Lewis, so instead, I said it was an accident. He did not buy it for a second he looked disappointed in me that I would lie to him. It hurt seeing him disappointed, especially when he was disappointed in me.

“Angelo, Kane, check the CCTV footage. And you better bring the person who did this to my office at once, if they struggle take them to cells.”

“Yes, Alpha.” They said together and went out the door. s**t, I did not know there were cameras, I am going to be in so much trouble when they find out it was not in fact an accident.

“Where are Luca and Chris?” he asks me when we are left alone.

“I only need them when I leave the packhouse. I did not realize I will need them to catch me if I fall over!” I tell him pointedly.

“Well from now on if you are not with me. They will be with you. No arguing!”
