Chapter thirteen

ANGELO’S POINT OF VIEW

I knew planning a Luna ceremony was going to be hard work but not this hard, there was so much to do; I don’t know how Rhianna did it all. To cap it off someone had the nerve to attack the Luna! I don’t know why Jess didn’t say anything, I knew she was lying, she was a horrible liar. Once I took her to the hospital Dr. Mannie took her for an X-ray while I mind linked Kane and The Alpha. They turned up within a minute of each other Kane came in first saying that the Alpha is in no way going to be happy about this. That was an understatement.

Sure enough, when The Alpha came through the doors of the hospital he was fuming and shouting at how someone had dared do this to his Kitten. I found the pet name very cute, it suited her, she was small and cute, yet feisty. Just like a kitten. When we got to her hospital room, she was sitting on the edge of the bed swinging her legs a bit talking to Dr. Mannie.

When Lewis saw her, you could see the love and care he had for her. It reminded me of when Lily fell down the stairs of the packhouse, I’ll never forget that day, I was so panicked when I heard of it happening, I told her she shouldn’t be walking about that far into her pregnancy, but she didn’t listen. When I got to Lily’s side, I knew that my pups were lost and there was nothing I could do about it. She cried for days almost weeks about it and she blamed herself, I never blamed her for what happened she was just stubborn and couldn’t sit still and I guess she needed to stretch her legs or something, but ever since she’s been scared to try again, I wanted pups so bad and I know she did too but I was in no way going to rush especially after what happened. I just hoped that one day she’ll be ready to try again.

Lewis ordered me and Kane to go check the footage of the kitchen to get to the bottom of who attacked the Luna.

We walked to the little office room under the stairs where the camera room is. Having sat down on the chairs facing the monitors we picked out the kitchen footage and rewound it. When we saw who it was, we both just looked at each other, no words passed between us we knew how the Alpha was going to take this. We decided to record the few minutes of footage and send it to my tablet so we could play it to Lewis.

“Derick, tell the guards not to let Rebecca leave. “

“Gamma, I just saw her driving out of the territory.”

“f**k!”

I cut the mind link with Derick, my head guard, I informed Kane of this development, and we knew that this would not go down well when we told our Alpha, that we were too late to get her. He was probably going to hang us by our bollocks for not being quick enough. Well, so much for trying to have pups again.
