The airplane finally took off the leaving the frozen ground of Alaska far behind us.
I sat near the small window of the private jet, looking down until the white mountains and dark pine trees completely disappeared and I let out a shaky breath and leaned my head back against the soft leather seat.
I was going home. I was finally going back to New York.
