I stood outside the door of Kael’s office at his house and honestly a part of me was scared to enter.
Everything was moving forward with me and Theo but I knew I couldn't fully step into my future with Theo until I cleared the past.
I needed to talk to Kael.
He was the man who had picked up my broken pieces when I was dying. He was the man who stood by my side when my world was pure ice. I owed him an honest conversation, even if it was going to break his heart.
I pushed the door open and stepped in. Kael was standing by the window, looking out and he had his hands resting behind his back.
