TWENTY-THREE Shuffling footsteps woke Grieve. A man tiptoed through the cave, taking exaggerated care to make as little noise as possible as he ascended the steps. Nuno, he assumed, for the man looked like last night's watchman, his brother. Grieve took a deep breath, and inhaled an unfamiliar floral scent. He glanced down.
