“NOW, PUT YOUR hands together for the Collection in Bleue finale,” Elena said to the crowd of stylish women who’d crowded into the store this morning for the Hollywood trunk show.
Amid the applause, Elena looked around, relieved and pleased now. After a rocky start where a necklace wasn’t properly fastened and flew off when the model did a quick pirouette, the trunk show was now running smoothly.
With microphones in hand, Elena and Fianna perched on high stools in the women’s salon of W.P. Harrison & Company, one of San Francisco’s most fashionable stores just off Union Square. Attendees, dressed in the latest designer styles from Michael Kors, Dolce & Gabbana, and Vera Wang, sipped champagne mimosas and nibbled French pastries under glittering chandeliers.
