*** There are many sub-personalities that could appear, but usually, the most frequent ones are the host, alter child, protector, prosecutor, animal alter, and demonic alter. * The host is the owner of the body or genuine personality. * Alter child is the younger part of the personality. At that stage, those who have DID regress. They regress from proper development and return to being children. Alter child usually needs to extract traumatic information that adult memory does not have. * Protector is an alter that protects and defends. Usually, he would be very aggressive when faced with a threatening or stressful situation. This alter appears to defend. * Prosecutor, is an alter who actually wants to protect but by giving punishment. * An animal alter is an animal-like alter, usually a wild animal that appears to protect or express feelings. * Demonic alters are alters who behave like evil creatures, usually, they appear for revenge and— "Uh, it broke?" Odette furrowed her brows as the pen she was writing with broke. She only wrote a little, but she spent a lot of time because she was still not used to writing with a pen like that. Back in her previous world, she very rarely wrote on paper, she mostly typed on the keyboard. Odette walked to the window and looked up at the sky. She wondered if there was anyone in her world who missed her? Was anyone looking for it? Or maybe everyone thought she was dead, and how would they react if she suddenly appeared. She exhaled tiredly. "Mom, how are you?" She looked up at the sky sadly. Usually, when she missed her mother, she would settle for a photo of her mother or pay a visit to her grave, but now she couldn't. 'One day I will definitely be able to go home. Wait for me, Mom.' "Can I come in?" Someone's voice startled her a little. Odette turned and saw Trish standing in the doorway. "Um. Come on in. How is Rion?" she asked as she walked over to a chair and sat there while Trish sat across the table. "His throat hurts, he's having a hard time swallowing." "Given how he hung himself, it seems normal." "I'm so grateful that you saved him. I tremble at the thought of it. If you hadn't gotten there in time, I can't imagine what would have happened." "Then don't think about it. By the way, what are you doing here?" "His Majesty the King asked me to tell you that tomorrow we will go to the royal palace," Trish explained, which surprised Odette. Trish told Odette because she worked as the king's personal doctor, she must come to the palace because the king would live there. Odette could also work with the royal doctor who had been handling the king's health. For a few seconds, Odette was silent as she was immersed in thought, but finally, she nodded in agreement. "Then I'll excuse myself." "Wait, Trish!" Odette immediately stood up as Trish got up from his chair and got ready to go. She asked him, "Does Rion sleep while being tied up again?" "Well, yes. There's no other choice." "Why don't you just stay in his room so you can take care of him? I mean how can he sleep like that?" Trish smiled at her question. He was happy to see Odette seem to care about the king. Somehow, since Odette was appointed as the king's personal doctor, Trish was happy. It felt like having a friend to share his burden in doing a tough job together. He really appreciated the fact that Odette was a dedicated doctor who tried to do her job properly and at the same time... she also cared about her patient. "Actually, I used to do that, but the king was very uncomfortable because we were rumored to be a gay couple." Trish scratched the back of his head with a small smile. Odette didn't know that seventy percent of the residents of the Panthera Palace thought Rion and Trish had an unhealthy relationship. This also made Trish's reputation among women to be bad, because until now Trish was still single. "Seriously." Odette had no idea. Why people were very easy to spread gossip. It was annoying, but it looked like she had to think of a way to make Rion sleep comfortably. "What do you think?" Trish asked when he saw Odette was silent and seemed to be thinking about something. "It's fine. You can go and sleep now. You also need rest, because you must be very tired. Don't get sick because Rion is relying on you so much." Trish was silent, he stared at Odette for a few seconds before finally nodding. "Um. Good night." While in the doorway, Trish stopped and secretly glanced at Odette, who was now returning to stand by the window. He thought she had something interesting. He smiled and left the room. Meanwhile, Odette read her notes, then started thinking about Rion. She was not only responsible for taking care of his patient's mental health but his physical health as well. Odette was one hundred percent sure that Rion couldn't sleep comfortably in a bonded state, but the man had no other choice. He was worried that he would hurt others or hurt himself. So, if Odette wanted to help, then she had to get rid of that anxiety. Rion was most worried about Lucifer and Rine. If something could be done to make the two alters more obedient, then Rion would be able to have peace of mind. Odette sighed tiredly. If only her seniors were here, she could have asked them for advice. Before this, she had never handled a DID case, so this was a bit difficult. Haha… "Just thinking about it is already tiring me," she laughed bitterly. "It must be so much harder for him since he has to live with it…" After standing for a while by the window, Odette decided to pack up but… wait a minute. She didn't have anything to pack because all the clothes she had been wearing so far were clothes from the castle that were given to her only to wear not to own. Right? Odette was confused about whether to pack the clothes or not. It might be better if she asked Anwen. "I mustn't forget this," she mumbled, picking up the white dress she wore when she was transported into this world. One day when she could come home, she would wear that dress again. Now she lay down on the bed and closed her eyes. In her mind, Odette wondered what kind of palace it was Rion lived in. Anwen said the place was vast and beautiful, but at the same time, terrifying. In fairy tales, the palace was described as a very beautiful place, but in the movies, the palace was described as a terrible place. People could lose their lives just because of trivial things. Odette remembered her mother who always became so emotional when she watched classical dramas. Her mother even burst into tears when she saw the main character of the story get betrayed by her husband, then she was locked up in a dungeon and gave birth there. Odette had to admit, the story was quite sad but she didn't expect her mother to actually get carried away like that. "Mom… tomorrow I'm going to the royal palace. I hope the palace isn't like the one in the movies we've watched together," Odette mumbled to herself.
