Adriel Meets Aiden

"BROTHER!" Anwen opened the door of the king's room violently. It made Rion and Trish who were inside, startled. The two men glanced at each other in confusion. Anwen closed the door and walked quickly to the king's table. "Brother, what have you done to Miss Ody?" she asked to the point. It left Rion stunned, while Trish was confused about Anwen's question. Anwen and Rion looked at each other questioningly. "Did she tell you anything?" Rion asked. "She didn't tell me anything. I just heard the gossip about you and Miss Ody yesterday morning. Is… the gossip I heard true? Did you do that to her?" Rion was silent. He didn't know how to answer Anwen's question. He was surprised that the gossip of him and Odette at the Baster Inn spread so quickly. Anwen's eyes became sad, "Brother, those people said very bad things about Miss Ody. Miss Ody looked very devastated to hear that. Her body was shaking and breaking out in a cold sweat." Rion's breath hitched. His eyes opened wider. He remembered what that Baster's staff said yesterday. She was the king's w***e, a b***h who wanted to be queen. Did Odette hear the same thing the staff said? His chest tightened at the thought of Odette being hit by such a vile gossip. Anwen still stared at Rion with a sad look in her eyes. "If you really did that, you must be responsible and marry her. Poor Miss Ody," she said. Trish, who had been listening to Anwen's words, slowly understood why the king suddenly said that he wanted to get married. Even though Anwen didn't say it out loud, Trish understood what the girl meant. There had been an accident, and the king wanted to marry Odette because he felt responsible for what happened. The king wanted to marry Odette not because he really wanted to get married, but because he wanted to take responsibility. Trish was quite surprised by this fact. He never expected that his king would go that far. "I know. That's why I'm going to marry her," Rion said flatly. "What?" Anwen's eyes immediately opened wide. "I told the witch to prepare for the wedding," Rion said expressionlessly and stood up. "Let's go, Trish." He walked away and got out of the room. Anwen was left in shock. The girl had a hard time believing what she had just heard. She thought it would be difficult to get Rion to agree to marry Odette because, all this time, her brother had been very loyal to the late Queen Rose. "My brother is getting married. That means…" Anwen mumbled and her smile slowly grew. "Grandma won't tell me to remarry." "WOOHOOO!" Instantly in Anwen's mind, a small party was taking place. *** Five men whose hands had been bound were forcibly seated by the Panthera knights before the king. One of the teams that had been formed specifically to quell human trafficking cases had just returned. They came back with five people who were members of a syndicate from the group they had previously arrested. "Forgive us, Your Majesty, we beg you, please, don't kill us." The five people prostrated on the floor were begging for forgiveness. They begged for their lives in front of the king. The story about the king who was very strict in enforcing the law and was always acting very harshly on criminals was well known throughout the kingdom. King Roland had educated Rion to never pity criminals. A true king must always enforce the law. It didn't matter who it was. Even if that person was family, friends, or loved ones, if they commit a crime, then Rion must punish them firmly, so that everyone would think twice before committing a crime. "Your Majesty, we've asked them about who bought the people they kidn*pped, and they always said they don't know or don't remember," explained Tyson, the burly man who was the leader of the team that caught these criminals. "Looks like their memories have been erased too," Trish said. "Has Adriel not returned from Naturi yet?" "Not yet, Your Majesty." After he heard Trish's answer, Rion slightly furrowed his brows. Adriel was a mage who could teleport. The distance between Panthera and Naturi shouldn't be a problem for him. He should be back by now. Rion looked at Tyson. "Take them to the cell," he ordered. Tyson nodded obediently. He and his friends immediately forced the criminals to stand up and walk toward the holding cell. "What do you think, Your Majesty?" Trish asked as he noticed the king's expression. He seemed to be contemplating something. "I was thinking of Adriel, he should have returned from Naturi." "Should I send someone to catch up with Adriel?" "Yes. I have a bad feeling about this." "Please don't worry too much, Your Majesty. Everything will be fine." "I hope so," said Rion as he turned and walked away from the place, followed by Trish. *** Ugh. Adriel sat up and vomited a lot of blood. He tried to open his bruised eyes. The first thing he saw a tattooed man standing in front of him. 'Prince Aiden?' Adriel wondered in his mind. He took a good look at the man in front of him. He was confirming that the figure he was currently seeing was really Prince Aiden. When he arrived at the Naturi border, Adriel was quite surprised, because his path was blocked by the mage knights who guarded the Naturi border. He conveyed his intention and purpose of coming to Naturi, but the border guards attacked him instead. They captured him, and then brought him to the Naturi Palace, to Aiden. "Apparently there's a Panthera rat trying to get into my territory," Aiden said with a smirk. 'What does it mean?' Adriel asked again in his mind. He and Aiden exchanged glances. He tried to read Aiden's mind and dig up information, but the opposite happened. Instead, it was Aiden who read Adriel's mind. Aiden smirked as he read Adriel's thoughts. "So, apparently, my dear brother has realized that there are people who missing and so he sent this rat to deliver a message for Panthera's ambassadors to rescue them. Tsk, too bad, brother. They have all become pet food." Aiden chuckled. He then crouched down in front of Adriel. Adriel's eyeballs turned purple when obedience magic was cast on to him. "From now on, you are my pet, and I am your master. You must always obey me. Do you understand?" he commanded, and Adriel nodded obediently. After he saw that, Aiden was grinning again. "Your Majesty." Guen came from behind, distracting Aiden. "What is it?" asked Aiden standing up. "It's time for lunch, Your Majesty." Guen smiled gently. "Hmm. Come on." Guen followed Aiden to the dining table. There were already a variety of foods served, they looked very tempting. Aiden immediately sat on the chair that was usually occupied by King Elbert, and then casually ate every dish on the table. Guen stood in front of him, while she occasionally took dishes that Aiden's hands could not reach. The princess was doing a maid's job. While they ate the food, Aiden would sometimes glance at Guen. She would immediately lower her head when Aiden looked at her until a few moments later, Guen was stunned when she heard the plate fall to the floor. She smiled when she saw Aiden having difficulty breathing. She took a knife, then walked over to Aiden.
